Airport Improvement Program Grant Applications Now Being Accepted

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced the grant application period for the Fiscal Year 2027 Airport Improvement Program (AIP) is open with applications being accepted from now through October 9, 2026.

The New Jersey Airport Improvement Program provides $4 million annually for projects that improve New

Jersey’s public use general aviation airports and aviation transportation system. AIP grants, administered by the NJDOT Division of Local Aid, are awarded through a competitive process, with an emphasis on projects designed to enhance safety, remove obstructions, rehabilitate existing facilities and equipment, and make capital improvements.

Toni D. Pierre, 23, of Voorhees

Toni D. Pierre, age 23, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at Virtua Health Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey. Born on April 3, 2003, in Staten Island, New York,Toni was a resident of Voorhees, New Jersey.

Toni was the beloved child of Dexter Pierre and the late Noreena Burris. Toni is survived by a loving family, including uncles and aunts Heather Ogidan, Olabode Ogidan, Toney Burris, Keturah Burris, Nola Brooks & Marilyn Burris. Toni is also remembered by cousins Jason Burris, Olabode Ogidan, Jr., Dr. Noreena Ogidan, Deidre Washington, Janelle Corbin, Judy Radgman, Semoy Burris, Avernelle Manswell, Jayselle Vincent, Patrice and Shanelle Brooks, numerous extended family members, and dear friends Francie Forteau and Marcelline Als.

Toni was predeceased by her mother, Noreena Burris, aunt Esther Washington, and uncles Hilton, Michael, and Royland Burris.

DRBC 3Q Meeting & Founding Waters Day – Sept. 2

The September 2 business meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center, 1112 River Rd., Washington Crossing, PA 18977, starting at 12 p.m. The meeting will be livestreamed via YouTube. At the meeting, one resolution, four resolutions for the minutes and 18 dockets will be considered by the Commissioners. There will be an opportunity for open public comment, as time allows, after the conclusion of the business meeting.

FBI Announces Voices Not Forgotten

Reward increases and geo-location of posters draw attention to Indian country crime

In a sustained commitment to address violent crime in Indian country, FBI Director Kash Patel announced a new initiative, ‘Voices Not Forgotten’ that increases monetary rewards associated with unsolved investigations into homicides, kidnappings, and missing persons suspected to be victims of homicide in Indian country.
