Walter Gilliano, 28, of Franklinville, was sentenced to 40 years in  state prison Thursday by the Honorable Roger Lai for first-degree murder and  related weapons charges stemming from the 2022 shooting of Chad Stuart in the  parking lot of a Franklin Township bar. 

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: On Sept. 24, 2022, officers from the Franklin Township Police Department arrived  at Villari’s Sports Bar for reports of a gunshot wound. The victim, Chad Stuart, 31,  of Clayton, was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. Gilliano told  officers he had shot Stuart. The investigation revealed that Gilliano and the victim  had argued in the parking lot after the bar closed. The defendant then got into his  car and drove away only to return a few minutes later with a gun. An eyewitness  told police that Gilliano pointed the gun at the victim and shot him. The victim was  transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. 

Woodbury, NJ – Anthony Rodriguez, 25, of National Park, was arrested and  charged with one count of second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material  on Wednesday, Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.  

According to documents filed in this case: 

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office received a tip from the National Center  for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual uploading files of child  sexual abuse material (CSAM). An investigation led to the execution of a search  warrant at Rodriguez’s residence. Forensic analysis of a device found 1,103 videos  and 504 images of suspected CSAM. 

Kyle Smith, 28, of Glassboro, was sentenced to 4 years in State  Prison by the Honorable Kevin T. Smith, Friday for endangering the welfare of a  child pursuant to a plea agreement.  

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: In July 2023, Franklin Township Police observed Smith, who was 25 years old at the time, in a public park with a 12-year-old female. An investigation found he had  sent sexually explicit messages to the victim and had planned the meeting in order  to have a sexual encounter.
