Many teenagers try marijuana and some use it regularly. Teenage marijuana use is at its highest level in 30 years, and today’s teens are more likely to use marijuana than tobacco. Many states allow recreational use of marijuana in adults ages 21 and over. Recreational marijuana use by children and teenagers is not legal in anywhere in the United States. Today’s marijuana plants are grown differently than in the past and can contain two to three times more tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the ingredient that makes people high. The ingredient of the marijuana plant thought to have some medical benefits, cannabidiol (CBD), has not increased and remains at about 1%.

Commissioners Celebrate Hopkins Pond Improvements

The Board of Commissioners will celebrate the grand opening of a brand-new $325,000 investment at Hopkins Pond. Maryland Man Sentenced to 36 Months for Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud

A Maryland man was sentenced to 36 months in prison after pleading guilty for his role in a conspiracy to traffic personal identifying information (PII), U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced. Chief United States District Judge Renée M. Bumb imposed the sentence in Camden federal court.

Chouby Charleron, 27, of Severn, Maryland, pleaded guilty before Chief Judge Bumb on November 19, 2025, to a single count Information that charged him with Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud.

Mind Escape Philly’s newest room to debut in Summer 2026

Mind Escape Philly, located at 521 S. 4th Street in Philadelphia, will debut their third room, called The Little Greenhouse of Horror, based off the best selling musical “Little Shop of Horrors.” 

The new room was designed by Nat Mellen, who has been apart of the company since 2021. This plant themed room will incorporate puzzle design that allows everyone to play. The goal of The Little Greenhouse of Horror is to create a fully operable room that can open the door for 100% handicap able movement and puzzle completion, with the overall visuals plays with the happy sunshine plant and the monstrosity of plants.
