LYNCHBURG, VA – The Rowan men’s soccer team’s run in the NCAA Tournament was ended by #6 Emory, in a 2-0 decision in the Third Round held at Lynchburg. The Profs close out the year at 17-4-4 while reaching the Sweet 16 and winning their second straight NJAC title.
Emory got the goal it needed with just seconds remaining in the first half, as there was a scramble in front of the goal and Logan Steren put it in at 44:37 ending Rowan keeper Travis Holiday’s five-match shutout streak. It marked the first goal scored on the senior since October 27.
GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan’s Johnny Troiano and Aiden McGuigan have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team as chosen by the College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Both Profs are receiving the honor for the second year in a row, while in 2024, Troiano went on to earn a spot on the Academic All-America Team.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Rowan’s Tess Herman and Alexa Ronning have been named to the 2025 NFHCA Division III Senior Team capping off their final seasons in which they helped Rowan to its fifth straight NJAC Championship and seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Profs’ duo is among 60 Division III senior student-athletes to earn the honor which recognizes their competitive excellence, leadership, and lasting influence within their programs.

Toby chose to donate his body to science, a decision reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Once this process concludes, he will be cremated. The Frymire family plans to gather for a private memorial service on December 4, 2025, celebrating a life well lived.
He made an indelible mark in the world of commercial real estate in Horsham, PA, where his dedication and passion helped shape the community for many years. Mr. Frymire retired a decade ago. He and his beloved wife, Linda, would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 18, 2025.
Having spent the majority of their marriage in the town of Horsham, Toby faced health challenges over the past year. Those problems brought him into hospital rooms, rehabilitation facilities, and eventually a nursing home. Through it all, his warmth, kindness, and lasting legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A proud 1963 Gloucester High School graduate, Toby grew up on Johnson Blvd, across from the Little League field, where his athletic ability was evident at an early age. As an athlete, he achieved incredible feats, including earning 14 varsity letters and becoming the New Jersey State pole vaulting champion.

The Profs (17-3-4) have punched their ticket to the NCAA Sectionals and the round of 16 for the first time since 2019.
The Profs will face Emory, which was a 3-0 winner over Hampden-Sydney, on November 22nd, with the site and time to be announced.

GLASSBORO, NJ – Sydney Kowalczyk had two goals but the rally by #13 Rowan fell short as #17 Lynchburg held on for a 3-2 win in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship. Rowan, which won its fifth consecutive NJAC Championship, ends the year with a 16-6 record.
Lynchburg built up a 3-0 lead with all of its goals in the second quarter. Allie Freeman scored first at 16:43, assisted by Khanyisile Mzizi, and the Mzizi scored the next two, with the first at 24:16 and the third just five minutes later.
Rowan got on the board in the third quarter as senior Tess Herman took the initial shot and the Kowalczyk collected the loose ball in front and swept it in at 34:00.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA – Brycen Williams scored 28 points but Mary Washington (3-0) used an 11-point run in overtime to defeat Rowan, 94-87, in men’s basketball action.
With the game tied, 81-81, the Eagles scored 11 straight points to begin overtime, taking a 92-81 lead. Williams hit a three at :42, but it was too late for the Profs to make up the difference.
Williams made eight three-pointers in the game while Taz Cantey scored 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting. Khalil Baker had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Profs while Dan Mason grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds.
GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan field hockey team will host Lynchburg in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship today , November 12, at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium. The #14 Profs earned the NCAA bid by winning their fifth straight NJAC Championship on Saturday evening with a 1-0 double-overtime win over TCNJ.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, senior citizens and children. Tickets can be purchased prior to the event and are digital only. No cash will be accepted. Ticket link will be available on Monday, November 10.
The winner of Rowan-Lynchburg will head to top-ranked Christopher Newport for the NCAA Second Round on the weekend. Rowan played both teams this season, defeating Lynchburg, 4-3, on October 5 and falling at CNU, 3-0, on October 25.
Rowan (16-5) is making its seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship under head coach
Michelle Andre. It is Rowan’s 25th all-time appearance in the NCAA Championship, which includes six trips to the national semifinals and the NCAA title in 2002.
The Profs last hosted an NCAA First-Round contest in 2023 when they defeated Hartwick, 5-0. In 2024, Rowan advanced to the NCAA Second Round, defeating Ursinus on the road in the First Round and then falling at third-ranked Tufts.
