The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the following Homicide:On April 6, 2026, at approximately 4:40 pm, two men became involved in an altercation inside a store on the 4000 block of Market Street. One of the men shot and killed the other. The offender then escaped on a motorized scooter and was last seen in the area of 4100 Aspen Street. On April 13,2026 at approximately 2:00 PM, an unknown person was captured on surveillance video scouting around in the 1XX block of Carpenter Street. Wanted: Suspects for Commercial Robbery in the 2nd District 

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects in this video:

On April 11, 2026 at approximately 12:20pm two unknown black males entered the Dollar General located at 7941 Oxford Ave, approached the cashier, stating that they were armed with a handgun and demanded the cashier load money onto gift cards. The suspects then fled the location in a white sedan.

Wanted: Suspect for Multiple Robberies in the 9th District

Central Detective Division is seeking the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the following photos.

The individual is a suspect in two strong arm robbery incidents that occurred on April 9, 2026. The victims had items taken and were assaulted in each incident. Incident one occurred at 6:35PM on the 1200 block of Chestnut St. Incident two occurred at 7:00PM on the 1600 block of Walnut St.

Philadelphia Homicide Investigation

The following information is preliminary and subject to change; updates will be provided as they become available.

At approximately 1:21 PM, on April 13, the 14th District responded to a shooting on the sidewalk of the 6300 block of Chew Avenue. An adult male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:49 PM. At this time, there is no known motive, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing with the Homicide Unit.

Philadelphia Police Overnight Incidents

The following information is preliminary and subject to change. Updates will be provided as they become available. Additional incidents will be shared throughout the day as they are received.

On April 13, 2026, at approximately 12:13 a.m., a 46-year-old male victim walked into the 39th Police District suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was immediately transported by police to Temple Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition with one gunshot wound to the chest area.

K9 Cooper Dies from Heat Exhaustion

END OF WATCH: 2025-09-05

K9 Cooper succumbed to heat exhaustion after being left in an unmarked police car. The vehicle was left running, and K9 Cooper’s handler believed the air conditioner was on. Because it was an unmarked patrol vehicle, it was not equipped with a temperature monitor. K9 Cooper had served with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department for over three years, assigned to the drug unit.
