Letters: He Don\’t Bite!

Bill,

Again I write to you and tell you that I enjoy your column. Keep on writing, Bill, many in the town agree with your views.

I am also writing to you about a concern of mine.

Many residents may not know there are a large and I can not stress a large number of Pit Bulls in Gloucester City. This is evident on Broadway as the town\’s new residents walk these \”killing machines\” up the street sometimes with chains around their collar.

My point is this.

Have these dog owners carry a $1 million home owners policy. Those who rent, have the landlord carry the policy and up the rent accordingly. You and I have heard many a times, \”he don\’t bite\”, but how often have you seen on the news one gets out and seriously harms an individual.

If need be ask the local letter carriers to supply addresses where these \”killing machines\” reside.

This is a chance for the City to be Pro Active before a tragedy strikes.

I am not looking to make somebody rich with a lawsuit, I just want to make certain that the finances are there to provide medical help to possibly a innocent now disfigured child.

Thanks for your ear,

A friend
