On Saturday , April 11, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, the Blackwood Kiwanis Little League Parade will take place along the Blackwood Railroad Trail.

Although most of the parade route will stay off main roads, traffic delays are still expected on Glenn Ave, Morris Ave, Marshall Ave, and W. Railroad Ave during this time.

GTPD Officers will be on scene to assist parade participants, residents, and motorists. Please use caution in the area.

Newark Inspection Station to Permanently Close April 11

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s (NJMVC) Newark Inspection Station, located at 228 Frelinghuysen Ave., will be closing permanently on Saturday, April 11, 2026, to enable the construction of a brand-new, expanded, and modernized Newark Agency.

Dolores A. Parsons-DiLorenzo, 78, of Millville

On April 6, 2026, at the age of 78. Of Millville. Formerly of Runnemede. Loving wife of 27 years to Craig R. DiLorenzo. Predeceased by her first husband, Edward Parsons. Loving mother of Thomas, Korin, Carolanne, Sean, Vinny and Summer. Predeceased by her children, Kimberly and Brandon. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Dolores worked many years as a server at O’Donnell’s Restaurant in Gloucester City.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, April 13th from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Family and friends will share stories of Dolores beginning at 12:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

American Lung Association to Release NJ Air Pollution Report

On Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, the American Lung Association in New Jersey will release the 27^th annual “State of the Air” report, which tracks exposure to unhealthy ozone and particle pollution. The report serves as a “report card,” ranking air quality in metro areas and grading counties across the state. Additionally, the report ranks the most polluted and cleanest cities across the country.

Trout Season Opens April 11 with Simplified Rules

Anglers will get to enjoy 19 extra days of fishing, more than 20 additional ponds into which to drop their lines, and simplified regulations to follow when the much-anticipated trout season opens at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 11 in waterways across New Jersey. This year’s spring season will be highlighted by the stocking of more than 180,000 rainbow trout and larger broodstock, as well as 20,000 brown trout provided by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission.
