The Board of Commissioners and the Garden State Wine Growers Association will host the New Jersey Wine Month Celebration at the Camden County Boathouse, 7050 Pennsauken Ave. Pennsauken, at 5:30 p.m. today. Formerly New Jersey Wine Week, the month-long celebration runs from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30 and highlights the wine growers, vineyards, and wineries across the Garden State.
The event will include wine tasting, exciting announcements and will honor local wineries including Amalthea Cellars Farm Winery, Saddlehill Winery, Sharrott Winery, Tomasello Winery, White Horse Winery and William Heritage Winery.
“New Jersey’s wine industry isn’t just growing, it’s thriving,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “After an outstanding 2025, this event will give us a chance to celebrate that success and look ahead to all that we can accomplish next year.”
Camden County and the South Jersey region are steadily making a name for themselves in the international wine industry. The County’s vineyard in Lakeland produces Chambourcin grapes, which are one of the world’s most popular hybrid varieties, and is noted for its distinctive dark coloring and herbaceous aroma. In 2025 alone, the vineyard produced over 7,500 pounds of grapes.
