 LEWES (Sept. 23, 2015) – Delaware Seashore State Park will host the annual MS Society’s \”Bike to the Bay\” fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 26, requiring a rerouting of traffic entering and leaving the park from late morning through mid-afternoon, DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation announced today.

Gloucester County Prosecutors Office Defensive Driving Classes, Register Today

 

WOODBURY NJ–\"\"The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office is again offering defensive driving classes that can save county residents money on their motor vehicle insurance premiums and remove penalty points assessed for driving violations.

One class is scheduled on two consecutive nights, with attendance required both evenings to receive a certificate of completion. The first night is Monday, October 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and the second part of the class is Tuesday, October 27 from 6 to 9.

The location is Room 443 of the Instructional Center at Rowan College at Gloucester County, formerly Gloucester County College, 1400 Tanyard Rd., Deptford Township NJ.

Gloucester City PD Announce Waterfront Restrictions During Papal Visit

 

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ SEPTEMBER 25, 2015 —The Gloucester City Police announced that the Gloucester City Marina parking lot and Freedom Pier will be closed to the public beginning at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 25th until 12:00 pm on Monday, September 28th in conjunction with the security measures in effect during the Papal visit. Anyone who owns a boat docked at the marina can park their vehicles outside the marina and access their boat. Please be aware that boat traffic will be restricted on the Delaware River north of Gloucester City during this time period as well.

Investigation: Police Officer \’s Firearm was Discharged in Haddon Twp.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo reported an investigation is ongoing into an incident in which a police officer’s firearm was discharged outside a Haddon Township home.

Haddon Township Police were called at approximately 4:46 p.m. today to the unit block of Utica Avenue in Haddon Township.

Police arrived and determined the incident involved two officers from the Audubon Police Department.

Preliminary findings indicate one of the officer’s service weapons had been discharged once in the driveway of the home. No one was injured.

The circumstances surrounding the firearm’s discharge are under investigation.

Obituary | Daniel M. Strang Sr., of Runnemede

Daniel M. Strang, Sr., of Runnemede, formerly of the Fairview section of Camden. Age 81. Beloved husband of the late Margaret \”Peg\” (nee Cassidy). Devoted father of Daniel Strang, Jr., James Strang (Renee), Cheryl Ann Strang, Kevin Strang (Jennie) and Donna Branno (Jason). Loving grandpop of Marc (Carle), Danny (Victoria), Jaime, Jenna, Joey, Connor, Ryan, Cassidy and Anthony and great grandfather of Rylee, Jackson and William. Dear brother of Leon Strang (Dorothy), Wayne Strang and the late Elizabeth and Garrison.

Mr. Strang proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was previously active in Fairview Little League and an avid Eagles fan.

There will be a viewing from 9 to 11am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 11am at the funeral home. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Mr. Strang’s memory to Vitas Hospice, 18 E. Laurel Rd., 3rd Floor, Stratford, NJ 08084.
