The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office in September 2014 began training police officers and distributing doses of the nasal spray form of Narcan, generically known as naloxone. In addition to municipal police, the Rowan University Police Department and officers with the county Sheriff’s Office, who transport prisoners, now have Narcan.
