Compassionate Sciences in Bellmawr Issued Final Permit to Operate as an ATC

Fourth ATC Permitted to Dispense Medicinal Marijuana

 The New Jersey Department of Health today issued a permit to Compassionate Sciences, Inc. in Bellmawr Borough, Camden County to operate as an Alternative Treatment Center (ATC). The permit was issued after a final Department inspection of its facility.

Compassionate Sciences expects to open the first week of October.

Wildwood Man Arrested for Distribution of Heroin

Cape May Court House, New Jersey – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto announce the arrest of Kendall Aguirre, 32 years old of Wildwood NJ for the distribution of Heroin on September 18, 2015.

Aguirre was arrested on September 18, 2015 outside of a residence on Arctic Avenue in Wildwood. After Aguirre was in Custody, the Cape May Regional SWAT team executed a court authorized search warrant at Aguirre’s residence located at 103 West Poplar Avenue, first floor. In attention to the residence, two vehicles were also searched.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ATTEMPT ; Looking for Suspect

 

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ–Today, September 21, 2015 at 9:17 am , officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Holly Avenue. Upon arrival, the resident reported she heard a noise outside a first floor window on the rear of the house. When the resident investigated, an unknown male was observed outside the window and the screen had been pushed up.

 

The male was described as white, approximately 5’8\” tall, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap worn backwards. He was also wearing sunglasses and appeared to be young. The male fled from the area prior to police arrival. If anyone witnessed a suspect fitting this description in the area or has any information about this incident, please contact Sgt. Ahmed N. Ismail Sentenced to 5 Years in NJSP for Weapon Possession

 

Ahmed N. Ismail (DOB 9/9/90), of Vineland, NJ was sentenced today (9/18) to five years in New Jersey state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree possession of a handgun during an altercation with a woman in a Monroe Township NJ residence on 2/26/14.

Under terms of the negotiated plea, Ismail must serve 3 ½ years of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Bernie Collins Succumbs; Retired Pennsauken School Teacher, Track and Wrestling Coach

Bernard H. Collins \”Bernie\” off Siler City, NC, died on September, 20, 2015 at the age of 69. A \"BernieCollins\"former resident of Marlton and Gloucester City, Bernie retired after 32 years working as a school teacher in the Pennsauken Middle School and Pennsauken High School. He was a track and wrestling coach for Pennsauken High School. He honorable served our country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force.

He is the son of the late John C. and Margaret A. (nee Conroy) Collins. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon L. (nee Pirolli); daughters, Christina Kahle (Tim), Jackie Welter (Craig), Michelle Zuercher Collins, Jennifer Cassanelli (Julio) Mary Caldwell (Brian); son, Jeremy Hause; 14 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; brother, Jack Collins, sister, Eileen M. Collins. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph B. Collins, Sr. and his sister, Donna M. Miles. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 24th at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Gloucester City. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at McCann – Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment will be private.
