An independent Catholic school in the Philadelphia area decided that it could no longer employ its director of religious education because she refuses to abide by the teachings of the Church. Seems like a simple case. Yet a protest has been lodged against the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, even though it does not run this school.

Birth Parents Can Opt To Remain Anonymous

AUGUST 3, 2015–Starting today, the New Jersey Health Department will begin implementing a law signed by Governor Christie in May 2014 that is aimed at easing burdensome hurdles for adult adoptees to access their original birth records while also respecting privacy concerns for birth parents.

NJ residents encouraged to make sure their vaccinations are up to date
National Immunization Awareness Month is an annual observance that highlights the need for vaccines throughout the lifespan to protect against serious, and sometimes deadly, diseases. Throughout August, New Jerseyans are encouraged to make sure they are up to date with their immunizations to protect themselves and others from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Composite of unidentified woman
A New Jersey State Police forensic anthropologist has produced a set of composite sketches of a woman whose still-unidentified body was found on the Delaware River shoreline in West Deptford NJ in January 2014.
Forensic anthropologist Donna Fontana supplied the sketches to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The GCPO requested the drawings in hopes they would lead to recognition of the woman.
The unidentified white female was spotted 1/15/14 by a helicopter pilot flying near the Wheelabrator solid waste disposal property off Route 130 in West Deptford. The cause and time of her death could not be determined.
No records of persons believed to have jumped from one of the Delaware River bridges matched the woman’s description.
