Despite IRS Commissioner’s denials, new report shows problems remain at tax agency

There’s no problem with the Internal Revenue Service’s audit selection process, insisted IRS \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef0192abded29b970d-800wi\"Commissioner John Koskinen Thursday morning at a Congressional hearing in Washington, D.C.

Koskinen said concerns raised by Congress and the then-Inspector General two years ago about the IRS’ audit selection process have been addressed.

\”As part of their reviews, both the IRS’ chief risk officer and the [Government Accountability Office] offered recommendations for improvements in our internal control to further reduce any risks that exist for returns to be selected in an unfair manner,\” Koskinen said at Thursday’s hearing.

\”The IRS has accepted all of these recommendations, and we’ve been working to implement them.\”

A Busy Day for the Bellmawr Volunteer Fire Dept.

\"11796366_467611010083054_794778875560198295_n\"BELLMAWR NJ JULY 27, 2015 (CNBNewsnet)–The Bellmawr Volunteer Fire Department on Monday responded to one highway hazard, two MVA\’s and a reported Building Fire at Carmen\’s deli on Browning Road. No worries. The fire was minor and caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette which ignited some wood around one of the overhead doors. The fire was quickly extinguished with no damage to the deli section. Six calls today with a few hours to go members spent the evening cleaning the apparatus and installing new storage shelving in the firehouse. 

Busy first half of Monday. First a truck went off of Route 295 and struck the rear of T and T Flooring on Creek Road and from there responded to a vehicle fire in the alley way off of West Browning Road.

 For Racketeering And Other Crimes

Three Conspirators to be Sentenced This Week

CAMDEN, N.J. JULY 28, 2015– A member of the Lucchese organized crime family of La Cosa Nostra (LCN) was sentenced today to 30 years in prison for participating in a racketeering conspiracy and related offenses. Three other members of the conspiracy are scheduled to be sentenced later this week.

U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman of the District New Jersey and Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and made the announcement.
