GLOUCESTER CITY-Did you notice all the construction work on South Broadway between Market and Monmouth Streets last week? If you rode by the area it was pretty hard to miss the workers cutting up the sidewalk and the backhoe loading buckets of dirt into trucks. Trying to get into the City Post Office was a nightmare since the area was roped off with traffic cones and construction tape. I couldn’t recall reading anything about plans for a major project this size anywhere. And so being a curious person I contacted Councilman Nick Marchese.

CAMDEN, N.J. – An Atlantic City Police Department Sergeant was arrested by special agents of the FBI this morning for allegedly structuring financial transactions to avoid the filing of currency transaction reports and making false statements to federal agents, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Kiyia M. Harris, 39, of Egg Harbor Township, is charged by complaint with one count of structuring and one count of making false statements to FBI agents during two interviews in December 2014. She is scheduled to make her initial appearance later today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen M. Williams in Camden federal court.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a teenage homicide suspect will be tried as an adult.
Fernando Rivera, 19, of Camden, appeared in court today on a felony murder charge and had his case waived from juvenile court to adult court. He was arraigned this afternoon and his bail was set at $1 million.

The Greek citizens have rolled the dice and voted overwhelmingly to reject the \”austerity\” referendum. This was a way for voters to stick a finger in the eye of their creditors. The left around the world has responded to the vote with thunderous applause—and is selling the results as a vote for \”the little guy.\”
The Greeks believed that voting against the debt restructuring plan would give them more leverage with the banks, the IMF and the EU. But what happens now in Greece? The banks are shutting down this week. Withdrawals from bank accounts are being tightly restricted.
