Tradition is a wonderful thing, and Duffy\’s stands tall. For ninety years, Duffy\’s has provided excellent chocolates at their original location at 29 N. Broadway in Gloucester City. That location also carries delicious gummy spearmint leaves and orange slices. Love the spearmint leaves. 

Duffy\’s is a family owned business and a Gloucester City tradition, one of the City\’s oldest businesses. They are renowned for their \”Irish Potatoes\” which they sell a ton of around St. Patrick\’s Day. If you\’re a Gloucester resident, and haven\’t been to Duffy\’s – and there are actually some who haven\’t – take a walk over for some real taste treats.

DOVER (July 10, 2015) – To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between June 29-July 5 made 3,512 contacts with anglers, boaters, hunters and the general public, including 877 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks. Officers responded to 170 complaints and issued 169 citations, seven of which were related to the C&D Canal Conservation Area and associated recreational trail, where there is an increased Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police presence.

Medicare Cuts Now/Health Care 3 Years Away… How many of you were aware that if the legislation that provides health care access for all Americans is signed into law those without insurance will have to wait another three years before the bill becomes law.

 According to The Associated Press under the Democratic bills, federal tax credits to help make health insurance affordable for millions of low- and middle-income households won\’t start flowing until 2013 — after the next presidential election. But Medicare cuts and a sizable chunk of the tax increases to pay for the overhaul kick in immediately.

Camden County Police responded at approximately 11:29 a.m. on Sunday to the area of Newton Avenue and Trenton Avenue in Camden for 911 calls about a person shot.

Officers arrived and found the victim, Shawn W. Quann, 37, of Camden, sitting in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Maxima. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Quann was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:46 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are working to determine a motive. No arrests have been made at this time.
