Mr. Edward \”Ed\” J. Simila, of Brooklawn, Avid Hunter and Fisherman | CNBNewsnet

\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef01a3fcef1127970b-800wi\"(CNBNewsnet)–Edward Joseph Simila, of Brooklawn, passed away on June 26, 2015, at the age of 73.

Mr. Simila grew up in Gloucester City, where he attended local schools. He enjoyed playing poker, and shooting darts and playing pool. Ed loved hunting and fishing and belonged to several gun clubs in the Chatsworth/Batso New Jersey area. Besides deer hunting in New Jersey, he also chased the \”Grey Ghost\” in the state of Maine and New York as well as Florida. He belonged to the Gloucester City Breakfast Club.

\”Ed had a great sense of humor,\” said his friend Bill Cleary. \”He was quick with a joke and had a twinkle in his eyes whenever he smiled. He enjoyed hunting, and he especially liked using a muzzleloader. He also loved to fish. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his daughter.\”

Loving husband of the late Maryann (nee Tiefenthaler). Cherished father of Teresa Carney (Jeremy). 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, July 18 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Inurnment with his late wife, Maryann in New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. CNB Crime: Shooting in Wildwood, 2 Arrested

Cape May Court House, New Jersey – County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Chief Robert Regalbuto of the Wildwood Police Department announced the arrest of Wayne Roberts, 21 years old and Alexander Camillo, 20 years old for a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of June 29th in the City of Wildwood.

At approximately 4:00 A.M. on June 29, 2015, Wildwood Patrol Officers responded to the 300 East block of Juniper Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, an 18 year old male, lying on the sidewalk suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was treated by Paramedics and the Wildwood Fire/Rescue Squad and airlifted to the Trauma Unit of the Atlantic City Medical Center.

TWO ILLEGAL ALIENS PLUS A TON OF POT

TUCSON, Ariz. –Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Sonoita Station seized a ton of marijuana, one gram of cocaine and arrested two illegal aliens in a single weekend incident.\"Border

On June 26, agents attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle on SR 83, but the vehicle fled. After agents stopped the vehicle using a tire deflation device, the driver and passenger, both Mexican nationals, ran from the vehicle. An aircrew from Office of Air and Marine, Tucson Air Branch, moved in and helped agents locate and apprehend the duo.
