June 24, 2015– A Woolwich Township, New Jersey, man today admitted scamming distressed homeowners into giving him their houses and then soliciting fake real estate investments from private investors – secured by those same properties – that netted him more than $3 million in illicit profits, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Randy Poulson, 44, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Renée Marie Bumb in Camden federal court to Count One of an indictment charging him with mail fraud.

Obituary: J. Kenneth Davis formerly of Audubon

On June 21, 2015, formerly of Audubon, NJ and Salem County, NJ. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of 45 years to Mary O. Davis (nee Chipman). Dear father of Rosemarie (Michael) Ball, Michael (Silvia) Murphy and James Davis. Loving grandfather of Emma Ball and Mandy Murphy. Brother of Edna (Winfred) Richie and brother-in-law to Herbert (Doris) Chipman and the late Robert (Elizabeth) Chipman.

Mr. Davis was a 1970 graduate of Rutgers University, Camden, NJ with a B.A. in History. He was a longtime employee of the Camden County Board of Social Services. He was an active member of Greyhound Friends of NJ where he fostered many dogs and was also active in Therapy Dogs, Inc. where he volunteered with dogs for nursing and pediatric facilities.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, July 2nd, 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Interment private.

No Charges Filed Against Police Officers Involved in Shooting Death of Williamstown Man

MAYS LANDING – An Atlantic County Grand Jury reviewed the evidence today of the March 2014 police-involved shooting death in Atlantic City of a Williamstown man, and declined to bring criminal indictments against the police officers involved, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

On March 27, 2014 at 12:31 p.m., Pleasantville Police responded to two 9-1-1 calls, reporting that there was a man with a gun at the La Escondida II Restaurant, 701 Black Horse Pike.

The man, later identified as Antoquan T. Watson, 27, of Williamstown, NJ, fled Pleasantville police in a vehicle east on Route 322 through Pleasantville, Egg Harbor Township, Ventnor City, back into Egg Harbor Township, and finally into Atlantic City. The pursuit ended at Missouri and Atlantic Avenues in Atlantic City, where Watson exited his vehicle with a handgun.

Beloved husband of Rose (nee Bruno) for 58 years. Devoted father of Domenic (Bonnie), Angela Christiansen (Bob), Mark (Karyn), Renee Collins, Mariann Siciliano (Philip), Josephine Marmarou, and Rose Olsen (Frank). Loving grandfather of Nicky, Alexis, Taylore, Stephen, Angelo, Tori, Philip, Ashley, Francesca, Erika, Gabrielle, John, Peyton, Morgan, Halle, and Chris. Also survived by his faithful companion, Tikka.

Angelo proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, was a former Philadelphia Police Officer, and was a dedicated Inspector for USDA for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Child Parish Men’s Club, he taught RCIA and Religious Education classes at St. Teresa’s Parish, he was a former coach for RYAA, and loved playing pinochle with his grandchildren.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8pm Sunday evening and from 9:15 to 10:15am Monday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Mass 11am Monday at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa’s RC Church, 13 E. Evesham Road, Runnemede, NJ.

Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.

OFFICER DOWN: Police Officer David Joseph Nelson, Bakersfield Police Department, California

$\"Police-officer-david-nelson\"$ Bakersfield, CA JUNE 26, 2015--Police Officer David Nelson was killed in a vehicle crash while involved in a vehicle pursuit at approximately 2:40 am.

The pursuit started when he attempted to conduct a traffic stop of an unlicensed vehicle. He chased the car for several blocks until his cruiser left the roadway and struck a retaining wall and a utility pole at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive, causing the engine compartment to ignite. Responding officers located his vehicle and removed him from the wreckage before the patrol car became engulfed in flames.

He was transported to Kern Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The vehicle he was pursuing continued to flee and the driver remains at large.

Officer Nelson had served with the Bakersfield Police Department for two years.
