DOVER (June 9, 2015) – Do you know a child or young teen who might enjoy learning about fishing and trying to catch a fish? The Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife’s \”Take a Kid Fishing!\” program offers five upcoming summer dates when budding anglers age 6 through 15 and a parent/guardian are invited to come out and learn to fish.

The writer of perhaps the best-known and most-cited headline in journalism has died. Vincent A. Musetto, who notoriously wrote the headline \”Headless Body in Topless Bar\” for the front page of the New York Post on April 15, 1983, died Tuesday, his former paper reported. In recent years, health officials in the Northeast report seeing a number of cases of Borrelia miyamotoi (B. miyamotoi), a much rarer tick-borne illness. In the U.S., it is transmitted by the black-legged or \”deer\” tick (Ixodes scapularis) and the Western black-legged tick (Ixodes pacificus), both of which are known to carry Lyme disease as well anaplasmosis and babesiosis, two other tick-borne illnesses.

BETHANY BEACH (June 10, 2015) – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police are investigating the apparent drowning Tuesday afternoon of an 86-year-old Rehoboth Beach man who fell overboard while working on his docked boat at the South Shore Marina on the Indian River.

The victim, identified as Robert Roberts, had gone to the marina late Tuesday afternoon to clean the gunwales of his pleasure craft tied at one of the marina’s slips. After examining the accident scene, Natural Resources Police believe the victim fell from the swim platform at the boat’s stern into the water. He was found floating in the water near the marina by a local resident checking his minnow pots, who then summoned a nearby off-duty firefighter for help in recovering the body.

DNREC Natural Resources Police are continuing the investigation into the accident with assistance from Delaware State Police. The body was turned over to the state medical examiner’s office after the victim was pronounced dead.

Since birth, Brianna has fought against the odds. Born in an abandoned car on a farm in upstate New York, the dauntless calico was discovered by neighbors who bottle-fed her after learning that her mother had been hit by a car. Years later Brianna went missing for five days, only to be discovered behind a feed bin in a barn. Part of her tail had been stripped to the bone, evidence that she had survived an attack. 

. Michael Toner, a Vietnam veteran and La Salle University graduate who had recently concluded a show at a theater company near City Hall, was struck around 1 a.m. near 11th and Market Streets, according to the report.

LINDENWOLD NJ– On Monday June 8, 2015 numerous members of the Lindenwold Police Department participated in a Community Policing Detail. The detail was an opportunity to not only foster police-community relations, but to also showcase our recently recommissioned community policing bicycle unit. Four bicycle officers, along with several other officers walking foot patrols, were assigned to several neighborhoods and business districts where they spent time meeting with residents and business owners. The Officers provided residents with informational fliers regarding various programs and services that the Lindenwold Police Department Offers. The officers also inquired about any issues or concerns the residents may have or would like to have addressed by the Police Department. 

Prices for the fundraiser range from $1,000 for open seating to $2,700 priority seating. The campaign is only divulging the location to those who RSVP. Bon Jovi lives in Monmouth County. 

This is Clinton\’s first fundraiser in New Jersey since kicking off her presidential campaign in April.
