When the dog days of summer arrive no one likes a dip in a cool pool more than a dog. Taking a dip in the pool is always better if you bring your favorite stuff animal or toy along. Of course there’s some yard work that needs to be done before it’s play time and some dogs are eager to help mow the grass. Nothing better than a backyard game of baseball or football with your furry friend. If you enjoyed this you might like to see some more dogs having some Summer Fun.

UNIQUE PASSAGEWAY WILL PROTECT SMALL MAMMALS FROM COLLISIONS WITH VEHICLES
(15/P53) TRENTON – Crossing a busy road in Bedminster is about to get much easier for turtles and other small mammals, now that a new underground wildlife passageway is open in the township, the Department of Environmental Protection\’s Division of Fish and Wildlife announced today.
For years, numerous turtles, frogs, snakes and other small mammals have been killed along a section of Bedminster\’s River Road in Somerset County, a main corridor that runs parallel to the nearby Raritan River and links Central New Jersey\’s busy Route 202 and Interstate 78. Consequently, the DEP has taken steps to protect the wildlife in this area by installing a first-of-its-kind tunnel system to help these animals cross River Road safely.

(15/P52) TRENTON – Cheesequake State Park will mark its 75th anniversary with an array of festivities open to the public on Saturday, June 6, Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin announced today.
The ceremonies will focus on the people who have made the park, located in Old Bridge, Middlesex County, a success, from past and current employees to the many patrons who have visited since then-Governor Harry Moore officially opened the park on June 22, 1940.
\”This 75th anniversary celebration will focus on the mission of the park as it was then, and as it remains today, which is providing residents of this densely populated section of New Jersey a place to enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation and to learn about nature,\” said Commissioner Martin. \”In a sense, Cheesequake\’s mission is even more important today by providing diverse recreational opportunities and a place to get away from the many demands of modern living.\”
