THE STORY: At around 9 am on a recent morning, various motorists along Indiana’s Interstate 70 reported a \”baby deer\” in the median near the 48.5-mile marker. Callers said the baby deer was alive and appeared to be so young, that someone should check out the situation. Trooper Mike Wood of the Putnamville Post was subsequently dispatched to investigate.

Cranbury Township NJ. (May 24, 2015) — At approximately 4:30 p.m.yesterday, two people were killed and two injured in a crash on southbound inner lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Middlesex County. Although the crash investigation by troopers of the Cranbury Station, the State Police Fatal Accident Unit, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is still ongoing, the facts indicate that a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria taxicab driven by Tarek Giris, 46, of Elizabeth veered from the left lane to the right where it struck the guide rail at the side of the highway. It then hit a tan Chrysler Concorde in the center lane.

Over the past couple of years here in Japan aspects of Japanese life as seen from my point of view. My glasses aren\’t exactly rose-colored, but neither do I have the evil- eye. These are just some friendly peeks and pokes at what I have come to like and not like in my many years spent here. Right before lawmakers in the House of Representatives headed home for Memorial Day they passed legislation to keep cash flowing to transportation projects, at least until the Highway Trust Fund goes bust at the end of the July. Since Senators are eyeing the exits as well, this will likely become law before the current authorization expires at the end of May.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo, Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle and Camden County Sheriff Chuck Billingham reported a bank robbery suspect has been apprehended.
Timothy J. Givens, 37, of Sicklerville, is accused of robbing the PNC Bank located at 900 Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township on Saturday morning. It is alleged he passed a demand note to a teller, received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
Authorities received several tips that helped identify Givens as the suspect after releasing surveillance photos of the robber.
Two Camden County Sheriff’s Department officers observed Givens walking near Cooper University Hospital in Camden on Sunday afternoon and approached him. The suspect attempted to flee, but was apprehended after a short foot chase.
Givens is charged with robbery and resisting arrest by flight. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
