Bike Stolen from Sicklerville Youth; Two Juveniles Charged with 1st Degree Armed Robbery

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP (March 23, 2015)At approximately 4:40 pm on Monday, March 23, officers were dispatched to the Sicklerville section of Winslow Township for a robbery. The juvenile victim advised two juvenile suspects hit him in the head with a rock and stole his bicycle. The victim required medical attention for several lacerations to the head.

Patrolman Justin Connor located the two suspects and recovered the stolen bicycle.

The juveniles were charged with 1st degree armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The juveniles were lodged into Camden County Lakeland Juvenile Facility.

CNB CRIME: Maurice Gooden Guilty of Sexual Assault and Robbery of Atlantic City Woman

MAYS LANDING – An Atlantic City man was convicted this afternoon on all counts in connection \"C94153ac86958f57a367da39741ee598\" with the 2002 sexual assault and robbery of a woman who had exited a jitney near her home after completing her work shift, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

Today, March 25, 2015, after a three (3) day trial, an Atlantic County jury found Maurice Gooden, 39, of Atlantic City, guilty of:

  •  Aggravated Sexual Assault during the commission of a robbery—a crime of the 1st degree,

  •  Aggravated Sexual Assault of one whom he knew was physically helpless—a 1st degree crime,

  •  Aggravated Assault—a 2nd degree crime, and

  •  Robbery—a 2nd degree crime,

    for his early-morning attack of an Atlantic City woman who had exited a jitney on April 25, 2002 at approximately 3:45 a.m.—an attack which left the victim unconscious in an alley off South Harrisburg Avenue, Atlantic City, sexually assaulted and robbed of her purse.

Even In Female Dominated Nursing, Men Earn More

Women outnumber men in the nursing profession by more than 10 to 1. But men still earn more, a new study finds.

\"maleThe report in this week’s Journal of the American Medical Association found that even after controlling for age, race, marital status and children in the home, males in nursing out-earned females by nearly $7,700 per year in outpatient settings and nearly $3,900 in hospitals.

Even as men flowed into nursing over the past decades, the pay gap did not narrow over the years studied: 1988 to 2013.

Ex-Taliban Captive Bowe Bergdahl Could Face Life

(CN) – Nearly a year since he was freed from Taliban captivity, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl faces the possibility of life in a military prison for charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, the U.S. Army revealed on Wednesday.
Both charges carry the possibility of a dishonorable discharge, demotion, forfeiture and imprisonment. The misbehavior count could lead to life imprisonment, and desertion has a maximum term of five years.
