On February 2, 2015, of Audubon, NJ, age 70. He was the beloved son of the late Edward W. and Norma R. Egan, loving father of Edward \”Jack\” Egan, Jr. of Audubon, dear brother of Robert M. Egan (Sandra) of Franklinville and dear grandfather of Brandon C. and Shaina C. Egan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Egan was an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post # 84 in Oaklyn. He was an auto enthusist, a Chevy Man, and had also worked as a bartender at the David Sherman VFW Post #713 in Haddon Twp. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 400 WHITE HORSE PIKE, OAKLYN, NJ. Mr. Egan’s Funeral Service will be held 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations to a charity of your choice.

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ– January 22, 2015 the Patrol Division and Detective Bureau executed a search warrant on a vehicle and a residence in the 300 block of Ridgeway Street, culminating an investigation into the distribution of cocaine. As a result, a quantity of cocaine, cash and a vehicle were seized.
David J. Weygand (36), a resident of the 300 block of Ridgeway Street, the target of the investigation, was arrested without incident. Weygand was charged with possession of CDS (3rd. degree), distribution of CDS (2nd. degree), distribution of CDS within 1000’ of a school (3rd. degree) and distribution of CDS within 500’ of a public park (3rd. degree).

TOMS RIVER, OCEAN COUNTY – A Toms River man was sentenced this morning for endangering the welfare of children, in connection with the 2013 fatal shooting of a 6-year-old boy by the defendant’s 4-year-old son, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
Anthony R. Senatore, 35, of McCormick Drive, Toms River, NJ, was sentenced this morning by Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendell Daniels to 3 years of incarceration in New Jersey State prison for Endangering the Welfare of his own children, and of the 6-year-old neighbor, Brandon Holt.

TRENTON – The Department of the Treasury reported that cash collections for December totaled over $2.69 billion, bringing year-to-date revenues to $11.36 billion halfway through Fiscal Year 2015. December’s results show yearly revenues up 7.2 percent, ahead of the Fiscal Year 2015 Projected Growth Rate against Fiscal Year 2014 certified revenues of 5.2 percent.
Collections from Gross Income Tax, Sales Tax and Corporation Business Tax, New Jersey’s three largest revenue sources, totaled approximately $2.36 billion in December. Compared to Fiscal Year 2014, year-to-date revenues through December are now up 26.7 percent for Corporation Business Tax and 9.7 percent for Gross Income Tax, outpacing their projected growth rates of 6.5 percent and 4.8 percent for each source, respectively.

Certain vehicles and professions require a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Examples include operators of tractor trailers, box trucks, garbage trucks, limousines and school buses. An articleposted onTruckingInfo.com tells about two separate cases related to a CDL test-taking scheme in New York that issued hundreds of undeserved licenses to unqualified drivers.
The article states that an investigation led by the U.S. Transportation Department’s Office of Inspector General, plus federal and state law enforcement agencies, revealed that fraudulent CDL test-taking activities had occurred at five Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) test centers near New York City. Investigators were able to identify the perpetrators through the use of surveillance tools including remote observation posts and pole cameras. (The intelligence collected allowed law enforcement to identify DMV security personnel, a test-taker, facilitators, runners and lookouts participating in the scheme.)
