NEWARK, N.J. – Three North Jersey men today admitted conspiring to conduct or participate in the affairs of the Genovese organized crime family of La Cosa Nostra (the \”Genovese family\”) through a pattern of racketeering activity, including a conspiracy to extort members of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) for Christmastime tribute payments, New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman and Eastern District of New York U.S. Attorney Loretta E. Lynch announced.

Marty was a graduate of Gloucester City High School class of 1972 and Rutgers Camden class of 1977. He was a senior security officer at Holt Gloucester City Terminal and worked there since 1996.

Washington\’s daring 1776 Christmas crossing is considered to be a pivotal event in the War for Independence, leading to politically important victories in Trenton and Princeton that helped establish the Continental Army as a viable fighting force that could challenge the British and their Hessian supporters.
