When they sit down at the dinner table on Thursday, Pennsylvania’s hunters will have plenty for which to be thankful. It\’s prime time for Pennsylvania hunting and, with any luck, some game bags or ear tags have been filled already, or are nearly about to be.But as hunters are giving thanks, they should know also they’re in prime position to receive thanks for what they might choose to give. Each year, the generosity of Pennsylvania’s hunters results in about 200,000 meals for the state’s hungry.
By donating venison through Hunters Sharing the Harvest – a program that works through a network of meat processors to channel venison donations to local food banks, soup kitchens and hungry families – hunters extend their helping hands to those in need.

HARRISBURG – Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced the arrest of five Pennsylvania men on unrelated charges as part of an ongoing effort to target the online sharing, downloading and distribution of child pornography. The arrests occurred over the past week in counties throughout the Commonwealth, including Allegheny, Lawrence, Lancaster, Philadelphia and Northumberland.

The defendants arrested in the most recent sweep by the Child Predator Section are:

• Brian David Bradley, 45, 5269 Wolfe Drive, Apt. 1, Baldwin Borough, Allegheny County;
• Preston J. St. Clair, 25, 1217 Hickernell Road, Ellwood City, Lawrence County;
• Allen Perreault, 50, 2757 Creek Hill Road, Apt. F1, Leola, Lancaster County;
• Thomas Muller, 33, 1100 Chandler St., Philadelphia; and
• James Miller, 60, 8 S. Peach St., Mount Carmel, Northumberland County.

Peggy was a loving and caring woman who was devoted to her family. She was born and raised in Woodbury, NJ and dedicated 40 years working for Memorial and Underwood Hospital. Peggy was a compassionate, genuine woman who always thought of others before herself. She loved going to the casinos, playing the lottery and animals. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Mr. Maull was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was a Sunday School Superintendant for 12 years and a sexton for 20 years at Chews United Methodist Church. He loved his church.

On November 26, 2014 of Gloucester City, NJ. Passed away quietly at his home. Age 89 years. Beloved husband of 64 years to Ellen (née Anderson). Loving father of Alan Johnson (Connie) of Audubon, and the late Janet Johnson(Bob Gentile). Brother of Miriam Maurer (the late Herbert) of Gloucester City. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Arthur was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, having passed away in the same home in which he was born. He was a proud WWII Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre in the 87th Chemical Mortar Battalion . Services were held privately.

Dr. Oliver Korshin, a 71-year-old ophthalmologist in Anchorage, is not happy about the federal government’s plan to have all physicians use electronic medical records or face a Medicare penalty.
