Alice Joiner (nee D’Arcy), passed peacefully at home with her family on November 16, 2014, of Haddon Hts., formerly of Villas of Cape May and Magnolia. Age 81.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Devoted mother of Thomas, III (Ginger), Dennis (JoAnn), Leslie Laganella (Joe) and Laurie McHutchison (Bill). Loving grandmother of Gabrielle, Christopher, Kyle, Aimee, Matthew, Jackie, Jennie, Jeannie and Jamie. Sister of Jeanne McGinley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Thursday eve and 10 to 11am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. 

Funeral Service 11am Friday at the funeral home. 

Interment private. 

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Mrs. Joiner’s memory to the American Lung Assoc., 1031 Rt. 22 West, Suite 203, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Gaming Control Board Awards License To Stadium Casino LLP Project In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA:The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today awarded a Category 2 license to Stadium Casino, LLP which will permit the operation of a casino at 900 Packer Avenue in Philadelphia. Stadium Casino, LLP is a joint venture between Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, LP which currently operates the Parx Casino in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and the Cordish Companies which operates both the Maryland LIVE Casino near Annapolis, Maryland and the Xfinity LIVE entertainment complex in Philadelphia.

The award, made unanimously by the seven-member Board at a public meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, is the fifth and last award of a Category 2 stand-alone casino license permitted under the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, which further stipulated that this facility must be located in Philadelphia.

Obituary: Charles B. McAnally, age 50 of Runnemede

 

Charles B. McAnally, on November 15, 2014, of Runnemede. Age 50.

Loving son of Margaret and the late Joseph P. Beloved brother of Joseph P. (Nausika), Donna Lepera (John), Dorothy McAnally, and Ann Fulton (Greg). Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and his loyal companion \”Maximus.\”

Charles was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed fishing.

There will be a viewing Saturday morning from 9 am to 11 am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE, followed by a funeral service at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles’ memory to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, 3601 S. Broad St. Philadelphia, PA 19148 or at www.SniderHockey.com.
