Eric D. Clason Sentenced to Six Years in State Prison for Deptford Sex Assault

 WOODBURY NJ (October 24, 2014)–Eric D. Clason (DOB 9/24/82), of Deptford NJ was sentenced today to six years in New Jersey state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree sexual assault against a girl under 16 years old in Deptford on 6/30/12.

 Under terms of a 7/7/14 plea agreement, Clason will be subject to the reporting requirements of Megan’s Law for sex offenders when released from prison and will also be under parole supervision for at least 15 years after his prison term is completed.

 Clason will serve his sentence in a state prison, since an evaluation determine he is not a repetitive and compulsive sex offender, which could have placed in in the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center, an Avenel NJ state facility for persons convicted of sex crimes.

 Clason was arrested 7/6/12 and has been free on $50,000 bail since 8/13/12.

Additional Charge Filed Against Alleged Arsonist Michael Keating, Bail set at $50,000 Cash

WOODBURY NJ– At a bail hearing today Michael T. Keating (DOB 12/24/83), of 42 Bridge Drive, Washington Township NJ was served with an additional criminal complaint charging him with setting a fire in a Harrison Township NJ house on 10/16/14 that resulted in injury to a member of a Pitman fire company that responded to fight the fire.

Keating, a furloughed employee of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, was previously charged with aggravated arson and burglary when arrested at his home the night of the fire, which destroyed a vacant house at 612 Mullica Hill Rd.

(November 23, 1930 – October 24, 2014)

Blanche M. Petrone (nee Rufo), suddenly, on October 24, 2014, of Glendora, formerly of Bellmawr. Age 83.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Petrone. Devoted mother of Joseph Petrone (Susan) and Chuck Petrone (Dana).

Loving grandmom of Joey, Danny, Jennifer, Caryn and Lauren and great grandmom of David. Dear sister of Sandy Fitti, Mario Rufo (Roe), Gus Rufo, Daniel Rufo (Phyllis), Rocco Rufo and the late Nino Rufo. Sister-in-law of Michael and Toni Veneziani and Josephine Caramanna.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 8:45 to 10:45am Wednesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR. Funeral Mass 11:30am Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa RC Church, Runnemede.

Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
