BELLMAWR NJ–Bellmawr Police have charged Karen Stebbins, 27 years old, of Anthony Drive, Bellmawr with two counts of theft. In September two seperate reports were filed with the Police Department for suspected theft of money from both organizations, Bellmawr Park School PTO and the Bellmawr Youth Soccer Association. The investigation determined the President of these two organizations was responsible for the thefts.
On 10/16/14 Stebbins was charged with two counts of 3rd degree Theft of Moveable Property. She was the founder of new Bellmawr Youth Soccer Association this year and was president from when the league started in February 2014 until September 2014. She was elected PTO president in August of 2014. During her presidency, Stebbins stole$4,900 from PTO and $6,500.00 from the Soccer Association.She also altered bank statements during this time to cover up the theft and obtained a Debit/Visa card for the accounts she had access to and made numerous personal purchases.
She was released on her own recognizance pending a Superior Court Date.
