Delaware Hunting and Fishing Week lauds hunters and anglers

 

DOVER (Oct. 1, 2014) – Governor Jack Markell signed a proclamation last weekend expanding on National Hunting & Fishing Day by declaring Sept. 27-Oct. 3 as Delaware Hunting & Fishing Week – celebrating the DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife’s recognition of First State hunters and anglers for their funding of conservation and contribution to the state’s economy

\”Delawareans and visitors are encouraged to enjoy our state’s many outdoor activities and to celebrate the conservation of our wildlife and fish resources, not just on National Hunting and Fishing Day, but every day all year,\” said Fish and Wildlife Director David Saveikis. \”This year, we wanted to extend a special week-long thank you to our hunters and anglers for their contributions to our conservation work in Delaware.\”

National and State Leaders Gather at RWJ to Develop Solutions to NJ Opioid Abuse Epidemic

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – With New Jersey in the grips of an opioid abuse epidemic, physicians from across the state gathered at the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s (PDNJ) Do No Harm Symposium, today, to discuss and develop solutions to stem this public health crisis. They were joined by Andrew C. Carey, Middlesex County Prosecutor, Carl J. Kotowski, Special Agent in Charge of the New Jersey Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Steve C. Lee, Acting Director, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and officials from all hospitals in Middlesex County – JFK Medical Center, Raritan Bay Medical Center, and St. Peter’s Healthcare System, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, who hosted the event.
