Mike McConnell ran for one touchdown and passed for another to lead Bishop Eustace to a 14-6 victory over Gloucester Catholic yesterday in Gloucester City.

McConnell capped an eight-play, 67-yard drive with a 1-yard run with 1:27 remaining in the second quarter to stake Bishop Eustace to a 7-0 lead. McConnell helped Bishop Eustace increase the margin to 14-0 in the fourth quarter with a 4-yard pass to Vinny Papale. Mike Davis scored on a 2-yard run to get Gloucester Catholic to within 14-6.

Atlantic 10 Conference to Move Women’s Basketball Championship to Richmond Coliseum

RICHMOND, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Thursday it has entered a three-year partnership with the City of Richmond to bring the A-10 Women’s Basketball Championship to the Richmond Coliseum beginning in 2014. The announcement was made at a joint press conference held at the Richmond Downtown Marriott.

 

\”The opportunity to establish a long-term home for our women’s basketball championship and partner with the City of Richmond was one we could not pass up. We selected Richmond because it gives us the ability to build on our record attendance from last year’s championship and provide a true March Madness environment for our women’s basketball student-athletes,\” stated A-10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. \”I want to thank our head coaches and Directors of Athletics for their leadership in this selection and commend the City of Richmond, SMG and my staff for their commitment to making this a true win-win partnership for everyone involved.\”

Randall B. Hampton, age 66, of Mullica Hill went home to be with the Lord on
\"Images\"September 12, 2013.

 Randall was a skilled and talented craftsman who could build nearly anything. He proudly served the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a 46 year member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 of Philadelphia. Randall earned a Black Belt in Karate, restored his \’65 Corvette Stingray, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A former resident of Gloucester City and Brooklawn, Randall was a graduate of Gloucester City High School.

Family Beloved husband of 45 years and best friend to Judith A. (nee Coppola); Devoted father of Kimberly A., and Lesley A.; Cherished grandfather of Tara A., Gabriella A., Shawn, Gabriel, and Gobran; Dear brother to James H. III (Katherine) and Patricia A. Wilson (Harry); Loving Brother in law to Rosemarie; Adored uncle to many; Treasured companion to the late poodle Teddy.

Funeral services were private under the direction of the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME.
