Who\’s that old bald-headed guy with the bad haircut lazing on the beach with the $\"Jon-corzine-beach\"$ young bikini-clad babe? It\’s our former governor, the \”Wall Street Wizard,\” Jon Corzine, taking in a little R & R in The Hamptons.

That\’s right, The Hamptons. After trying to bankrupt New Jersey and bankrupting MF Global, stealing $1.2 billion dollars of his client\’s money along the way, Corzine is taking a break. And believe it or not, our government may not file criminal charges against him, citing a lack of evidence. When he was asked by Congress where the money went, he testified \”I honestly don\’t know.\” Maybe his girlfriend knows.

To put this in perspective, Corzine stole more money than Bernie Madoff, Al Capone, Long John Silver, Ivan The Terrible, Cyrus the Great, and Xerxes I as well as II, combined, in inflation adjusted dollars, and he\’s vacationing up in The Hamptons with the rich and famous while we\’re down here digging out of the fiscal hole he put us in.

Why isn\’t this guy in jail?

Francis E. Fox Named New President of Archbishop John Carroll High School

PHILADELPHIA PA–The Office of Catholic Education (OCE) and the Faith in the Future Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Francis E. Fox as the 5th President of Archbishop John Carroll High School in Delaware County. Mr. Fox is a proud graduate of Archbishop Carroll, Class of 1977. He has served on Archbishop Carroll’s advisory board since 1997 and was the chairman of that body from 2000-2011.

Mr. Fox said, \”It is with great humility and excitement that I accept the position of President of Archbishop John Carroll High School. My decision to serve was certainly based on my love for the school and previous years of involvement on the Board. In an equally important way, it was also influenced by, the recent appointment of Chris Mominey as Chief Operating Officer at the Office of Catholic Education and the creation of the Faith in the Future Foundation. Carroll has felt their support and empowerment over the past several months, and I believe now is the perfect time to offer my expertise and professional skills to the Archdiocese and Archbishop Carroll on a full-time basis.\”

Disabled veteran kicked off boardwalk because of service dog – NBC40.net

NORTH WILDWOOD –

A disabled U.S. Army veteran, who served our country for 19 years, says he was kicked off the North Wildwood boardwalk last night, simply for having his service dog by his side.

Jared Goering served 1 tour in Iraq, 2 in Afghanistan, and spent 19 years as an active member of the Army. Jared said, \”I served from 1993 to 2012.\” He then told NBC40 he couldn\’t sleep Thursday night because he felt so disrespected by a North Wildwood police officer.

Goering said, \”Just like any veteran with disabilities with a service dog, to come back and be harassed and shown no respect, it upset me – it really bothered me. I was up most of the night thinking about it.\”

A North Wildwood police officer issued Jared and his wife a summons because of the dog. Goering said, \”I expected to get more respect from him because of the jobs that we both have to do.\”

\”He mockingly asked if all veterans get service dogs,\” said Jared’s wife, Sally Goering, \”his dog is medically necessary and he is a service dog.\”

In 2009, Jared was serving in Afghanistan when his vehicle was blown up by IEDs, twice, within 36 hours. Now, Jared uses his 3-year-old service dog, Gator, short for Navigator, to help him walk, and to get up and down stairs.

Explorers to open season on November 9 vs. Manhattan

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men’s basketball team, coming off a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16, will open the 2013-14 schedule by hosting Manhattan on November 9, head coach Dr. John Giannini announced today. The Atlantic 10 portion of the schedule will be announced at a later date.

\”Fifty percent of the RPI is based on opponents’ records,\” Giannini said. \”With that in mind, we made every effort to schedule teams expected to have winning seasons and contend for conference championships.

(CNBNews.net raw video)-Bottom of the Third, Brooklawn\’s Gonzalez hits a triple, breaks the game wide open. The Brooker\’s Cieri hit a double late in the game. Strong pitching by Tyler Mondile for seven innings kept Delaware off the bases. He was clocked at 91 mph and average between 88-89 mph. In September, Mondile will be starting his sophomore year in high school. Brooklawn remains undefeated in the Mid Atlantic tournament, season record improves to 40-8. Brooklawn plays at 4:30 p.m. Sunday with just two wins separating it from a third straight trip to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C.
