An Alert Citizen Helps Police Apprehend Two Suspects

 Who Were In The Process Of Burglarizing A Home.

On 7-26-2013 at approximately 2:30 P.M., the Gloucester Township Police Department received a call from an observant citizen, who indicated that two suspicious males had just exited the rear of a residence on Furman Drive in Glendora. The males then entered a red vehicle and began to drive away from the residence. The alert citizen followed them with his vehicle and gave continual updates to GTPD Communications, which enabled the dispatchers to provide the information to responding officers.

Loving husband of Nancy J. (nee Wypych). Cherished son of Lorraine (King) Carder (late Lawrence) and the late Thomas A. Barton, Sr. Dear brother of Philip Barton, Lori Fagnani (Carmen) and Gerald Carder. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom will be greatly missed by his two dogs, Duce and Missy \”Girl\”.

Tom was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He was employed as a safety officer for Haztek in Medford, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening, August 1, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.

Funeral service 8 PM in the funeral home. Cremation private.
