EDITOR\’S NOTE--John Branin, a regular contributor to CNBNews.net, complained recently to the Sam Adams beer company about their recent beer commercial advertising their product.

He writes, 

I had written and called them a bunch of wimps for their cowardice in bowing to the PC idiots when they omitted part of Our Constitution in their Fourth of July advertising which celebrates the very Constitution they are celebrating.

 We have been buying their light ale but that has now come to a screeching halt.

Just think, if the original Sam Adams had been this cowardly then we would still be part of socialist Great Britain and surrendering to the islamists.

The unique, New Jersey small business gained recent notoriety for creating special baseball bats at the request of major league ballplayers to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombing and the tragic fire in West, Texas.

Making bats for over 100 professional baseball players in the major and minor leagues like Adam Jones of the Orioles and Mark Teixiera of the Yankees is more than a business. It’s got to be fun,\” said Senator Menendez, who noted the company is on track to manufacture 20,000 bats this year. \”I know you will be attracting a loyal following with every team in the country. I guess the lesson is you can have fun in business and give something back to the community and the nation – all at the same time.\”

Gloucester County skipper named National Coach of the Year

 

LUBBOCK, Texas — The College Baseball Hall of Fame is proud to announce Gloucester County College coach Mike Dickson as the 2013 Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year.

Dickson graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School, Class of 1979.

Dickson coached the team to a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III championship in 2013 and finished the season with a 49-3 overall record and a 15-1 conference record.

He also coached three NJCAA Division III First-Team All-Americans and had a player picked up during the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

\”I’m at a loss for words,\” Dickson said. \”To be mentioned in the same breath as Skip Bertman, who was truly a great college baseball coach, it’s a tremendous honor to win this award.\”
