June 21–A federal judge said he wants to know more about the culture that led a North Bangor Fire Company assistant chief to allegedly be drunk at the wheel of a firetruck when it overturned returning from a parade in July 2010.
In a decision Thursday, U.S. District Judge Lawrence Stengel refused to dismiss a lawsuit by firefighter Stuart Mintz over injuries he suffered in the crash.

Both state Senate and Assembly Scheduled to Vote on Monday
Lawmakers in Trenton are close to completing final action on the \”centerpiece\” gun control bill next week despite the flagrant and embarrassing disregard for legislative process. As reported earlier, a roll call vote on this bill was halted in the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee on June 6. After it became apparent this bill was going to be short on votes and fail, anti-gun lawmakers put on the brakes and incredibly called for a \”do-over.\”

Source Haddon Township Police:On Wednesday, June 19, 2013, the Haddon Township Police Departmentresponded to the 100 block of Lees Lane of Haddon Township for a burglary. The homeowner reported that she came home and found that the house had been entered and several items were missing.
Entry was gained to the house by smashing in a basement window located in the rear of the home.Police received information from a neighbor that two black males knocked on her door asking for directions to the White Horse Pike.

Just in time for the summer, about 250 students at Avon Elementary School in Barrington sign up to get new library cards from the Camden County Library System like the one pictured here.

It has for almost 250 students at the Avon Elementary School in Barrington where perhaps as many as 80 percent now have a public library card and access to thousands of books and scores of programs at the Camden County Library System.

Anthony J. Rapczynski
(February 27, 1936 – June 22, 2013)
Anthony retired after 35 years of service with Bridgeport Machines. He was an active member of Mary, Mother of the Church. Anthony loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He enjoyed his home, golfing, walking the dog at the park and cruise vacationing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Monday evening from 7 to 9pm and Tuesday morning from 9:15 to 10:15am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Michael Kazmark, 60, of Woodland Park, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Jerome B. Simandle in Camden federal court to an information charging him with one count of bribing a federal public official in exchange for official action. He admitted making $18,500 in corrupt payments.
