OBITUARY: SHELTON RICHARDSON, OF CRYSTAL RIVER, FL. FORMERLY OF PHILADELPHIA

Suddenly, on June 11, 2013. Age 67. Of Crystal River, FL. Formerly of Philadelphia. Son of the $\"Images-3\"$ late Forest Glover Richardson and Maggie Drewery Adams. Survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 27 years, MaryEllen Richardson (nee Fuchs); his daughter Elaine; his brothers and sisters, Douglas Richardson (Mary) of NJ, Ward Drewery (Anne) of NC, William Drewery (late Debbie) of NC, Lawrence \”Dicky\” Drewery (Barbara) of Philadelphia, Patrick \”Peter\” Drewery of CA, Julius \”Muddy\” Drewery, Patricia Richardson of NC, Lorenda Richardson and the late Louise Richardson, many step children, grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Born in Philadelphia on July 6, 1945, Shelton grew up in Wilson, NC and later returned to Philadelphia where he worked as a member of Local Union 332 Labor Union for 34 years. In 2005, he and MaryEllen retired to Florida where they lived together for the last 8 years. Shelton was a very generous person who loved his friends, fishing, gardening and a cold beer.

Viewing will be held Monday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Funeral service 12:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

Eileen Mikle, of Laurel Springs, Gloucester City High School Alumnus, Class of \’62 | cnbnews

Eileen Mae Mikle, age 69, of Laurel Springs, (nee Lamont), also known as \”Sis\”, $\"CCP024442-1_20130615\"$ went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Edmund Mikle, daughter Diana Archer, grandson Kyle Archer, sister Patricia Campbell, brother in law Frank Campbell and many cherished cousins, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her mother Claire Lamont and father Thomas Bowe.

A former resident of Gloucester City, she gave the world her gift of kindness and was most happy when she was doing something for someone else. A devoted wife, generous caregiver, and loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was a Gloucester City High School Alumnus Class of 1962.

Relatives and friends are invited to the graveside service on Tuesday at 10 AM in the chapel at New St. Mary\’s Cemetery in Bellmawr. America’s greatness is its people. From our nation’s birth We the People have opened our arms to those who sought freedoms and opportunities found nowhere else.

Americans have prided themselves in being open-minded, with a willingness to listen to and embrace newcomers. Although along with that open-mindedness has been an expectation that our countrymen and women bear a high level of personal responsibility. We have long recognized that free individuals cannot be both reliant on government to meet its every need and free of government restrictions.

It appears that we are in a quandary in Syria. Should we support the Shiite Muslims who want to $\"Images\"$ kill us right away or the Sunni Muslims who want to kill us next week?

Decisions, decisions, decisions ! It looks like President Obama has chosen his muslim friends that want to kill us next week.

I would suggest that the Air force load up a few planes loaded with pig heads and guts from a slaughterhouse and drop the whole shebang on Mecca\’.

This operation is just like finding two rattlesnakes fighting each other and trying to decide which one to shoot when you know the other one will strike you next.

Msgr. James Curran of St. Mary\’s in Gloucester City Celebrates 50th Anniversary

We tend to publicize the negative in our society, but, on Sunday, June 2, I was reminded in a $\"Saint$ very personal way of the amazing blessings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Monsignor James P. Curran of St. Mary’s Church in Gloucester City celebrated his 50th anniversary of having been ordained a priest. As I sat surrounded by hundreds of people who love him, I reflected on the many ways he has touched my life and brought me closer to Jesus.

Father Curran gave me my First Communion. He confirmed my faith. He counseled me when I had a broken engagement. He rejoiced with me when I met my husband, and he married us.

He encouraged me to start a business, and blessed my office. He prayed with us and for us when we suffered years of infertility and miscarriages, and baptized each of our three miraculous children. He conducted funerals for my grandparents, one of whom was not Catholic.

Curran is a humble, beautiful, generous, faith-filled man, and has done all a priest should do and more for my family, and for so many others. I thank God for him and celebrate the gift he is to our communities.

PHILADELPHIA PA–A Philadelphia business philanthropist is marking the 4th of July holiday by aiding a Vietnam, Purple Heart infantry man, who is a paraplegic.

Charles Waterman, the owner of ClosetsByDesign, an area custom closet company, had a vision to do something to help good causes that would be more personal than just buying charity tickets.

His inspiration: Track down a wounded veteran who could benefit from having Waterman\’s company donate and install custom storage spaces easily used by a paraplegic in a wheelchair.
