CAGW Names Sen. Mary Landrieu Porker of the Month

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) named Senator Mary Landrieu (D-La.) its May 2013 Porker of the Month for her sour comments on sugar reform in the Senate version of the 2013 farm bill. The United States sugar program, a misguided relic of the 1930s that CAGW has opposed for many years, arbitrarily protects a select few large and prosperous sugar producers at the expense of U.S. consumers and manufacturers of sugar-containing products and their workers.

Steven J. Williams on May 30, 2013, of Runnemede. Age 47.

Beloved husband of Frances (nee Grover). Devoted father of Robert Grover (Lauren), Anthony Grover, and Aiden Michael. Loving grandfather of Robert Grover, Jr. Dear son of Susan Kane and sister of Debbie Weaver (Daniel). Son-in-law of Eileen Grover (the late William). Brother-in-law of William Grover (Gayle), Charles (Sheryl), and Theresa D’Orazio (David). Godfather of Dan Weaver.

Steven was the General Manager for ServPro in Woodbury.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday morning from 9 to 11am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Service 11 am at the funeral home.

Interment Berlin Cemetery, Berlin.

AOL founder and former chairman Steve Case is entering the New Jersey tourism business. Miraval, the award-winning Arizona resort owned by Case and his wife, Jean, is partnering with the Natirar estate in Peapack-Gladstone to create a new hotel and spa destination: Miraval at Natirar. 

 The partnership between Miraval and Natirar founder Bob Wojtowicz primes the vast Somerset County estate, once owned by the King of Morocco, for its long-envisioned expansion into a full-service luxury resort for pampering, rejuvenation and relaxation. Wojtowicz originally linked with British businessman Sir Richard Branson in 2001 to develop the retreat; to date it consists of Ninety Acres Culinary Center, a highly rated farm-to-table restaurant and cooking school; a 12-acre sustainable farm; a banquet and catering facility; and a private membership club.
