Born on June 29, 1929. Died on April 3, 2013. She joined her husband of 60 years who died in 2007. Mother of Margaret Sorbello (husband Joseph) and Daniel J. Sullivan, III. Grandmother of Joseph Sorbello (fiancée Trish), Shawn Sorbello (wife Jill), Dawn Sorbello, Daniel Sullivan IV (wife Shanna), Kevin Sullivan (girlfriend Kara) and Kristen MacIntosh (husband Michael). Great grandmother of Brendan, Angela and Jackson Sorbello, Daniel Sullivan V, Victoria \”Torri\” and Gabriel Sullivan.

 

Peggy lived with her daughter and son in Sewell. Formerly she was a resident of Northport, FL. She worked at First National Bank of Williamstown, First Fidelity and First Union. She was a member of the Red Hats and Grandmother Club in Northport, FL.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday April 20th from 11 AM to 12 Noon at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St. Gloucester City. Funeral service 12 Noon in the funeral home.

On April 4, 2013. Age 83. (nee Talley) Of Magnolia. Loving wife of the late Edward Moore. Loving mother of Gary Moore. Cherished grandmother of Zach, Margaret and Paul. Dear sister of Frank Talley, Jr. Cherished daughter of the late Frank and Wilma Talley. Also survived by many loving family members and friends.

 

Lula was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a registered nurse for 30 years. 

 

At Lula’s request funeral services will be private. Interment with her late husband in Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

CAMDEN, N.J. (April 5, 2013) –Rutgers University-Camden junior Tommy Potts (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional) tossed a one-hitter over eight innings and the Scarlet Raptors broke the game open with six runs on only two hits in the fifth inning as they rolled to a 12-1 victory over New Jersey City University Friday afternoon at Campbell’s Field in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest.

The victory lifts the Scarlet Raptors to 15-9 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC, and comes one day after Rutgers-Camden lost a 3-2 contest at NJCU. The Gothic Knights fall to 12-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Potts, who raised his record to 3-2, allowed only one earned run and three walks in eight innings of work, while striking out eight. The only hit he allowed was a leadoff double to right field in the second inning by NJCU third baseman Michael Martucci (Bayonne, NJ/Saint Peter’s Prep).

Sophomore Anthony Soyer (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) closed out the game with a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Obituary: Daniel Aaron Cantor, of Clayton

 

On April 1, 2013. Age 36. Of Clayton. Son of Aaron and Sharon Cantor. Danny was born on April 8, 1977 and resided at Clayton House since 2003 where he enjoyed living for 10 years.

Danny loved going to his favorite restaurants, going to the movies, listening to his music, watching his DVD’s, traveling to Ocean City, NJ, attending Annual dinners, and camping at Camp Sun ‘N Fun in Williamstown, NJ. Danny attended Special Needs ATS for many years where he would come back happy and with cards and pictures he helped to make. 

Danny was a very fun loving person who was very much loved by all The Arc staff and his housemates. Danny leaves behind a host of friends and extended Arc family that will miss him very much. We love and miss you, Dan the man!!

Visitation Friday, April 5th, from 1 to 1:30 PM at McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Funeral service 1:30 PM in the funeral home. 

Burial will be private.

Donations can be made in memory of Daniel to The Arc Gloucester, 1555 Gateway Blvd., West Deptford, NJ 08096.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers University President Robert L. Barchi announced today that he has accepted the resignation of Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Tim Pernetti, effective immediately. \”Tim and I mutually agreed that this is in the best interest of Rutgers. I appreciate the positive things that Tim has done for the university, but also recognize the gravity of recent developments in regard to the men’s basketball program,\” President Barchi said at a news conference this morning.
