Edward Pirrotta Succumbs, Gloucester Catholic Alumnus Class of \’63 | cnbnews.net

Edward Pirrotta, of Spicer, Minnesota, passed away today, April 3, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. A former resident of Gloucester City, NJ, and South Camden, Ed graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School, Class of 1963.

Mr. Pirrotta was a veteran of the Vietnam War era. Ed, a retired teacher, attended college in Minnesota. His battle with cancer began in 2008. Following treatment that year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, he paid a visit to his family living in South Jersey. During that visit, several of his classmates met him and his brother Lou at a nearby restaurant for breakfast. Emmaline Bell, age 101, Life Long Gloucester City Resident /cnbnews.net

 

On March 31, 2013 (nee Sweeney) of Gloucester City, NJ, age 101. She is the beloved wife of the late Norman Bell, loving mother of Emma Burt (late Donald) and the late George Bell, and dear sister of Ruth Greene. She is the loving grandmother of Diane Ehrmann, Donald Burt, Kathleen Gosin, Patricia Mason, Michael Burt and Joann Kocher. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews.


Emmaline was a life long resident of Gloucester City and a member of Townsend C. Young VFW Post # 3620. Her proudest moment was becoming a great great grandmother and being able to see 5 generations in her family. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the EHTERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Emmaline’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers her family would appreciate memorial donations in Emmaline’sname be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053

Monroe Twp. NJ man charged with illegal disposal of body

 

April 2, 2013

 

Andrew McCloskey (DOB 11/29/71), of 600 Riviera Dr, Williamstown NJ has been charged with illegal disposal of the body of a 40-year-old Atco NJ woman found in her car in Berlin Township NJ Jan. 31, 2012. The woman had died of a drug overdose.

 

An investigation by Det. Brandon Cohen of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Det. Greg Wolfe of the Monroe Township Police Department led to the second-degree charge. McCloskey was placed in the Gloucester County Jail 3/28/13 in default of $25,000 bail.
