Louisville Slugger Recalling the Entire Current Line of OneX Fastpitch Softball Bat

Little League International has been advised that Louisville Slugger is recalling the entire current line of the OneX fastpitch softball bat (all lengths and weights) from the market.

Model numbers affected by this recall are FP136, FP1369 and FP1368.

Effectively immediately and until notified otherwise, these bats are no longer approved for play in any level of the Little League Softball program.

 

It should be noted that both the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) have taken similar action at the request of Louisville Slugger.

Bill Donohue comments on how two bicoastal newspapers are reporting on Pope Francis and the so-called Dirty War:
 
No sooner had Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio been elected Pope Francis when the Los Angeles Times started reporting on his alleged \”timidity\” in fighting Argentina’s dictatorship during the Dirty War, 1976 to 1983. The newspaper also cited the rap that he was \”too quiet\” during this period.

Similarly, the New York Times is saying that the pope is being accused of \”knowing about abuses and failing to do enough to stop them.\” What is particularly striking about today’s front-page story on this issue—the pope \”faces his own entanglement with the Dirty War\”—is that it took four journalists in four different nations to work on it.
 
Anyone who thinks these newspapers want a more vocal Catholic Church would be wrong: it totally depends on the issue.

6th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup April 13

 

MAYOR NUTTER, STREETS DEPARTMENT COUNTDOWN TO THE 6TH ANNUAL PHILLY
SPRING CLEANUP


  Philadelphia, March 15, 2013 – Mayor Michael A. Nutter and the Philadelphia Streets \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef011570b9eb22970b-320wi\" Department announced that the 6th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 13 (rain date is Saturday, April 20). Mayor Nutter launched the countdown to the citywide cleanup at the Community Women’s Education Project (CWEP) in Kensington. Residents can volunteer for a Philly Spring Cleanup project online at www.phillyspringcleanup.com.

\”I’m continually inspired by the ongoing citizen engagement that is part of the Philly Spring Cleanup,\” said Mayor Nutter. \”Community involvement is the impetus for a successful cleanup season and a beautiful city. This idea also shines in the Philly Future program, in which participants are developing civic pride as a result of their daily work. In turn, the participants take this pride and instill it in their lives and their city.\”

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 19, 2013) – After knocking off a pair of ranked opponents in the last two days, the Rutgers University-Camden baseball team ran into a buzzsaw here Tuesday at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.


Worcester State University, of Worcester, Mass., collected 22 hits, two walks, one hit batsman and was aided by five Scarlet Raptor errors as it defeated Rutgers-Camden, 17-6.


The Lancers improve to 4-4, while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 7-5.

I want to tell you about a terrific event that families and children should plan to attend. The Camden \"Invited\" County Board of Freeholders is sponsoring a free interactive conference on parenting for families and kids called \”Raising The Next Generation\” on Saturday, April 13th, from 8 a.m.-1:15 p.m. at Pennsauken High School. We created this conference to help families raise bright, healthy, happy children. It will be a day of learning, but one of fun interactive activities for all ages.

Parenting expert, TV host, author and Courier-Post columnist, Lu Hanessian, from Cherry Hill, will be the keynote speaker and there will be a variety of workshops, from nutrition and exercise, Karate and bullying to fatherhood, being an advocate for your child, from how to do homework to how to have fun as a family. Top experts and authors will there to run workshops, many of them hands on. The day will start with a complimentary continental breakfast.
