Camden County Tech School Receives Honor

(March 15, 2013- Pennsauken, NJ) – Camden County Technical School’s Pennsauken Campus (Penn Tech) was named a 2013 New Jersey School of Character by the New Jersey Alliance for Social, Emotional and Character Development (NJASECD). School representatives will attend a special recognition ceremony during the NJASECD Annual Conference at Rider University in Lawrenceville on March 18 at 9:00 a.m.

James E. Hannold, GHS Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, WW II Army Veteran, Magnolia Community Activist/Councilman /cnbnews.net

On March 17, 2013. Age 87. Of Magnolia, formerly of Gloucester City. Beloved husband of the \"HannoldJamesPhoto\" late Mary Ellen Hannold (nee Pine). Loving father of Mary Lou and William S. Adams of Gloucester City, Sandra Lee and Thomas Adams of Stratford, NJ, Terri Lynn and Paul Taggart of Fort Myers, FL, and his predeceased daughter, Lori Ann Hannold. Loving grandfather of Michelle and Kevin Biehl, Timothy and \’\’Missy\’\’ Adams, and Jennifer Adams. Dear brother of Lois (nee Hannold) and the late John Shelton, Dolores (nee Hannold) and the late William Gifford , the late Frank W. Hannold, Sr. and the late Henrietta Hannold. Loving son of the late Frank E. and Doris Hannold (nee Stubbs) of Gloucester City. Loving son-in-law of the late John and Mary Pine. Loving brother-in-law of Olive Driscoll (nee Pine) and Joseph Driscoll, the late Jack Pine and the late Rosetta Pine. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins from Gloucester City and surrounding communities.

 James was a lifelong learner and avid reader who used his many talents to serve his country, family and community. Graduate of Gloucester City High School (1947) who received an outstanding alumni award. U.S. Navy WWII veteran, member of Magnolia VFW and American Legion Post 370. Local 393 Carpenters Union member with a 40 year career in construction, supervision and building inspection. A prolific artist who attended The Student’s Art League in Philadelphia and received several county awards in Art. Magnolia Councilman from 1974 to 1981, planning board member, member of the Economics Development Committee and Magnolia Democrat Club. Recipient of The Camden County Freedom Award, Good Citizenship award from Camden County Freeholders and The Magnolia Medal. Lifelong member and President of Magnolia Historical Society, where he helped build, design and founded The Magnolia Train Station Museum.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jim’s viewing on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street Gloucester City, NJ. Funeral services 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment with U.S. Navy Honors in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
