Because the flu season has hit hard and early, the Camden County Freeholders have scheduled additional flu shot clinics for those residents who have not yet received a shot. \”Camden County residents can go to any of these locations and we encourage them to do so to avoid getting the flu,\” said Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Health Department.
January 14th  – Bellmawr Regional Health Center, 35 Browning Road, Bellmawr 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
January 16th  – Cherry Hill Municipal Building, 820 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
January 18th – Gloucester Township Municipal Building, 1261 Chews Landing Rd., Blackwood 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
January 28th – Bellmawr Regional Health Center, 35 Browning Road, Bellmawr 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

GLOUCESTER CITY NEWS 2012 Year In Review (Part 1)

Another year is over, and overall it has been a good one for the residents of Gloucester City, Bellmawr, Brooklawn, Mount Ephraim and Westville.

However, there is still some unfinished business — including building a new middle school and developing the waterfront in Gloucester City.

The great news is that in the Gloucester School District, graduation rates rose, as well as state test scores.

Andrews: What the Bipartisan Fiscal Cliff Deal Means for this Area

On New Year’s Day, I joined 256 members of Congress – both Democrats and Republicans – to approve a compromise agreement that avoided a major tax increase on most Americans. The bill is not perfect – compromises never are. But, after reading the 157-page bill and considering its effects on our community and nation, it was clear that this compromise was the most viable approach to keep income taxes low for the middle class and produce the jobs our country badly needs.
