Devoted father of Deborah Chapman, Dennis Chapman, Adam Chapman, Eric Chapman, John Moyer and Mark Moyer. Devoted Brother of Kenneth Chapman , Terri L. Peiffer (Charles) and the late Joseph R. Chapman, Jr. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

In Sandy’s aftermath, NJSBA begins outreach to school districts

TRENTON, November 5, 2012—The New Jersey School Boards Association this afternoon began an outreach effort to the school districts most seriously affected by Hurricane Sandy.

\”Our goal is to quickly identify those districts that are in need of assistance, to determine their specific needs, and to provide necessary information or facilitate arrangements with other school districts or appropriate agencies,\” said Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, NJSBA executive director. \”Continuity of instruction is critical for our children. NJSBA’s outreach project is aimed at helping public schools fulfill their core mission.

Wendy Hutchinson Named to A-10 Academic All-Conference Team | cnbnews

PHILADELPHIA – Wendy Hutchinson (Dover, Pa./Dover) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team, the conference office announced today.

The fifth-year senior placed 12^th at the 2012 A-10 cross country championships, finishing the 5K race in 18:18.6 (5K). Hutchinson was the third Explorer to cross the finish line, aiding La Salle’s second-place finish at the event. With her top-15 finish, Hutchinson was named an all-conference selection.

The Dover, Pa. native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies, carrying a 3.80 GPA as an undergraduate. Hutchinson is currently pursuing an MBA in management/finance and has posted a 4.0 GPA throughout her tenure as a graduate student.

Hutchinson was a 2011 academic all-conference honoree in addition to being named an All-A10 performer after finishing 12^that the 2011 conference championships. She was a key member of La Salle’s first place championship finish a year ago.

Tim Brennan and Tim Lazorko Selected in Postseason Vote

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two Saint Joseph\’s men\’s soccer players earned Atlantic 10 postseason honors, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Tim Brennan (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) took home All-Academic honors for the second straight year while freshman midfielder Tim Lazorko (Philadelphia, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) was voted to the All- Rookie team.

Brennan started all 18 games for the Hawks in his final season, playing in his 69th consecutive game against Temple on November 3. The senior captain

Andrew J. Nolan \”Andy\”, Longtime Gloucester City Letter Carrier, Purple Heart Recipient, Active St. Mary\’s Church Parishioner | cnbnews

Andrew J. Nolan, Sr., age 91, of Gloucester City, NJ, passed away peacefully with $\"Nolan$
his children at his side on Monday November 5, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Bertha Nolan. Born on September 19, 1921 to Martin and Katherine Nolan, Andrew was one of ten children. He graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School where he played baseball and basketball and was president of the Junior Guild.

On December 18, 1942 Andy joined the United States Marine Corps to fight in World War II. Andy’s tour of duty was not long; in the first battle of the Pacific he was seriously injured in the Battle of Guadalcanal and after over a year in the Naval Hospital in California returned home to Gloucester City with The Purple Heart and a hero’s welcome.

Andy became an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of The Knights of Columbus and was instrumental in founding the Children’s Christmas Fund.

In September of 1945 Andrew married his high school sweetheart, Bertha Raskis, and took a job with the Gloucester City Post Office and quickly became a fixture back in his hometown as everyone’s favorite mailman. A man of great warmth, humility and humor, at his insistence, people from 5 years of age to 95 years old simply called him \”Andy\”. An avid sports fan, Andy followed Notre Dame, Gloucester Catholic and Gloucester High Football religiously, and a large part of his personal enjoyment was watching his wife Bert and his two children Drew and Dianne both play and coach sports at the high school and college level.

$\"Bilde\"$ Andy is survived by his youngest sister Patricia Nolan Sampson of Gloucester, his son Andrew Nolan Jr. and his wife Beverly and their three children Julie, Ryan and Coe Nolan as well as his daughter Dianne Nolan and her husband Mark Breslin and their three sons, Zachary, Andrew and John Breslin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ from 10:00 am to 11:30 am followed immediately by Mass at 11:30 am. U.S. Marines Corps Military Honors will follow at church. Inurnment private at New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Gloucester Catholic High School Alumni Fund, 333 Ridgeway Street, Gloucester, NJ 08030. Or Saint Mary\’s R.C.
