TCNJ and Kean U Battle Ends with a 1-1 Draw

Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey women’s soccer team battled New Jersey Athletic Conference opponent Kean University to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in Lions’ Stadium.

The Lions (12-1-1, 5-1-1) dropped two points off pace in the NJAC race as Montclair State University and Rowan University each won their conference matches earlier in the day.

Sweet Senior Day for Ducks Men’s Soccer

 

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 13, 2012) – On the day where the No. 15 Stevens Institute of Technology men’s soccer program honored its senior class, the Ducks exemplified the winning soccer formula that has made the last four seasons so successful for the seniors. Suffocating defense and opportune offense combined for a 3-0 win over conference rival Elmira College on Saturday.

Last night on \”Access Hollywood,\” Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy discussed her new book, Bad Habits; she is featured on the cover dressed as a nun. She recounted a story from 1995 when she was in Italy. She claims that a few \”mafia\” guys brought her to the pope’s apartment (he was allegedly out-of-town) where she tried on some of his clothes. At the suggestion of her Jewish friends, she allegedly grabbed a crucifix as a souvenir for her mother.

Eat Tomatoes Lower Risk of Stroke | cnbnews

 

Newswise — MINNEAPOLIS – Eating tomatoes and tomato-based foods is associated with a lower risk of stroke, according to new research published in the October 9, 2012, print issue of Neurology®, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology. Tomatoes are high in the antioxidant lycopene.

The study found that people with the highest amounts of lycopene in their blood were 55 percent less likely to have a stroke than people with the lowest amounts of lycopene in their blood.
