Emergency Responders Partner With Boy Scout Troop 811

 

 To Teach Scouts How To Be Prepared For A School Bus Emergency Incident.
 
On Monday evening, September 17, 2012 the Gloucester Township Police Department, Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Chews Landing Fire Department, Kennedy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit conducted a training exercise with members of Boy Scout Troop 811. The exercise simulated a school bus accident. Emergency Responders interacted with the 74 Scouts from Troop 811 and explained their roles during a response to such an event.
 
Emergency workers and scouts demonstrated their actions while en route to a motor vehicle crash; procedures while at the accident scene and measures necessary to make the scene safe.
 
Several members of Troop 811 used this exercise to complete the requirements for their Emergency Preparedness and First Aid Merit Badges.

PAUL GEORGE ZIEGLER JR., FORMERLY OF AUDUBON NJ

 

Paul George Ziegler Jr. went home to be with his Savior on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012. He was 85.

 

Born and raised in Audubon, N.J., he moved to and had resided in Bensalem for over 50 years.

 A U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Paul was a member of the Philadelphia Bakery Union.

He was devoted to his family and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and many friends.

Paul was the beloved husband of the late Jane I. (Morris) Ziegler; devoted father of David P. Ziegler and his wife, Jamie, and George Ziegler; loving grandfather of David and his wife, Katie, Michael and his wife, Larissa, Megan, Jackie Everton, Adam, and Ben; and great-grandfather of seven.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family at 10 a.m. on Thursday, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Hoffmann Funeral Home, 1770 Brown Ave. at Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul\’s memory may be made to the American Stroke Agency, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centinnial, CO 80112.
