Americans and a Third Mayor Political Party

Gallup released an interesting poll today with respect to the appetite of American voters for a third major party. According to the poll, 45% of Americans believe \”the Republican and Democratic parties do an adequate job of representing the American people\” (a number that has increased from 38% in September of 2011), while 46% believe that \”they do such a poor job that a third major party is needed\” (a number that has declined from 55% since September of 2011.)

Flu Shot Program to Begin on October 2nd

 

This year’s vaccine is different than last year’s – Get protected and Get the Shot

 

(Woodbury, NJ) – Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Lyman Barnes announced today that Gloucester County has scheduled its influenza immunization clinics to keep residents healthy this flu season. Clinics are scheduled in every community, and many of them are in the afternoon and evening so busy families can take advantage of this program. There is no out-of-pocket cost for a flu shot from the county.

Gloucester Catholic Junior High Students Open Saint Mary’s Building | cnbnews.net

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ-Gloucester Catholic Junior High students officially began classes in their new home when they opened up the new Saint Mary\’s Building during Orientation Day on Wednesday, September 5. 

Seventh and 8th grade students participated in a busy morning of activities in the refurbished grammar school, which replaced GC\’s now-closed Annex facility. The Junior High students were later treated to a picnic at nearby Tavistock Hills Swim Club. 

The new Saint Mary\’s Building also houses Gloucester Catholic’s ninth grade students and has 12 total classrooms along with administrative offices, a new conference center, a computer lab, and a football weight facility.

Philly311Mobile App Released

Philadelphia, September 13, 2012 –Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced the Philly311 Mobile App, which will put city government at citizens’ fingertips by allowing them to report issues and service requests 24 hours a day. The app, created in partnership with the software company, PublicStuff, is free to the public and compatible with iPhone, Android and Blackberry. Residents will now be able become more active citizens in their neighborhoods by sending in service requests for issues such as potholes, graffiti and litter to City departments in real time.
