Geraldine H. Murphy (nee Hagan), on August 18, 2012, of Glendora. Age 76.

Beloved wife of Joe Murphy. Devoted mother of Michael (Patti), Christopher (Tricia), Maureen \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef01539037fcc3970b-200wi\" Smith (Brian), Brian (Linda), Karen Kelly (Joe), Joanne (Sam) and the late Joseph Francis. Dear sister of Frances Hagan and Bill Hagan (Helen). Predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret Hagan. Loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Colleen, Ryan, Mikey, Shannon, Christopher Ian, Sean, Joe, Brian Austin, Liam and Joey and great grandmother of Mackenzie and Robert William.

Gerry was a proud graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School, class of 1954, where she met her husband Joe. She was a member of Love Apples Quilters, the Scrap Bag Ladies and St. Gregory’s Bingo Group. She was a devoted and loving matriarch who enjoyed sharing her heritage and many traditions. She was well known for her constant devotion to her family, friends and faith. After raising her children she loved to spoil her grandchildren, travel and shop. Her favorite trips were to Ireland, Scotland, Russia, Denmark, Sweden and the Kennedy Space Center where she witnessed three space launches. Gerry enjoyed Home Coming every fall at Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. As the loving head of the beautiful family she created, Gerry will be lovingly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 6 to 9pm Wednesday evening and from 8:15 to 9:15am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, 126 S. BLACK HORSE PIKE, RUNNEMEDE, NJ.

Funeral Mass 10am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa’s RC Church.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery.

On August 16, 2012. Age 47. Of Gloucester City. Loving father of Rebecca, Ronald W. Jr., Michael A. Sr., Tracey and Nicole. Cherished grandfather of Michael A. Jr., Julian and Lucas. Dear brother of Edward (Laura), Charles (Judith), Alexander (Virginia), John (Donna), Patrick (Jacqueline), Wayne (Jennifer). Predeceased by his parents Edward C. Jr. and Olive F. Oehlert and his wife Georgeann (nee Plisko).

 

Ronnie was employed at South Jersey Port. He was a talented musician, skilled artist and a great chef. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 7:30 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Memorial Service 7:30 PM in the funeral home.

Philadelphia Archdiocese Agrees to New Independently Managed Catholic School System
