Ewing, NJ … Trenton High School graduate and assistant coach for The College of New Jersey track and field program Ashhad Agyapong is closing fast on attaining his dream of competing in the Olympics.
Agyapong competed earlier this month in a National Training Center Last Chance Meet held in Claremont, Florida. He placed third overall in the 200-meter event with a time of 20.38 seconds. That posting is one of the top 25 times in the world and makes him a legitimate contender to qualify for the finals at the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games in July.
Coming off of his standout performance in Flordia, Agyapong will travel to Kumasi, Ghana to compete in the Ghana National Championships
