Camden County Library Offers Summer Reading Themes and Programs

 

VOORHEES, NJ – June 7, 2012 – The Camden County Library System is pleased to announce a full schedule of 60 program events to celebrate and engage children and teens in its summer reading programs at eight different branches.

 

Participants can earn points by logging their time spent reading to earn chances for prizes they can win. Registration for any program is available at one of the local branch libraries or on the library system’s website at www.camdencountylibrary.org

Hospitals Not Admitting Medicare Patients Because of Pressure by Federal Government

 

TUESDAY, June 5 (HealthDay News) — Federal government pressure has led to an increasing number of Medicare patients being held for observation instead of being admitted to hospitals, a new study suggests.

Although this push to get hospitals to be careful about admitting seniors as inpatients may reduce costs to Medicare, it can lead to higher out-of-pocket costs for the patients, according to the researchers from Brown University in Providence, R.I.
