Arlington, VA – Atlantic coastal states from Maine through Georgia have scheduled their hearings to gather public comment on the Public Information Document (PID) for Amendment 2 to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Menhaden. The dates, times, and locations of

The Bellmawr Board of Education (BOE) held a moment of silence during its February 16 meeting to honor the tragic fatal school bus accident in Chesterfield (Burlington County) earlier that day.

The horrible loss of 11 year-old Isabelle Tezsla, daughter of NJ State Police Sergeant Anthony Tezsla, brought to light the safe transport of all schoolchildren, and the frailty of chance.

S. Jersey Girls: Gloucester City defeats Haddon Twp. in OT

Madison McClintock\’s two baskets and a pair of free throws by Johanna James accounted for Gloucester\’s scoring in overtime, allowing the third-seeded Lions to pull out a 47-44 victory at No. 2 seed Haddon Township on Friday in a South Jersey Group 1 girls\’ basketball semifinal.

McClintock finished with 15 points and James scored 14 in helping Gloucester get off to a strong start. The Hawks regrouped from an early 10-4 deficit, however, with Alayxiah Carr picking up 10 of her 12 points in the fourth period.

A game-changing 3-pointer by Summer Crilley with two seconds to go in the first half gave fifth-seeded Holy Spirit an extra boost as the Spartans defeated No. 4 seed Gloucester Catholic 42-35 in a South Jersey Non-Public A quarterfinal game in Gloucester City on Friday.

As the first half came to a close, Holy Spirit forced a turnover and Jaymie McClain found Crilley, who pulled up from the top of the key and sunk a 3-pointer for a five-point edge.

Woodbury – The Gloucester County Office of Consumer Protection with Divisions of Consumer Affairs and the Division of Weights and Measures is joining with federal, state and local government agencies and national consumer organizations in commemorating the 14th Annual National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) that runs from March 4 through 10, 2012. Concurrently the National Conference of Weights and Measures has proclaimed March 1 through 7 as Weights and Measures week. These two combined agencies are powerful tools for consumers.

Gloucester Catholic Teams Advance

(cnbnews.net) GLOUCESTER CITY NJ-The Gloucester Catholic Boys basketball team along with the Gloucester Catholic Girls team have advanced to the second round of the non Public A state basketball playoffs.

 The boys beat Bishop Ahr 61- 54 and play at Notre Dame 1 pm tomorrow, Saturday. 

The girls beat Paul VI 45- 43 and play Holy Spirit tonight, Friday at home 6pm\’
