PHILADELPHIA – Head coach Fritz Hamburg and the Saint Joseph\’s baseball coaching staff have announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the Saint Joseph\’s Class of 2016. John Brue, Joey Gorman, Matt Haskins, Jason Holcomb, Shane Marvel, Nate Shank, and Dallas Wilson will join the Hawks in the fall of 2012.

Flyers Take Annual Classic to New Level

\"FIEA first for Philadelphia, two of the game’s fiercest rivals squared off in front of a crowd of nearly 47,000 at the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Citizens Bank Park on January 2nd. The New York Rangers edged the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in the highly anticipated event, viewed by nearly 4 million fans nationwide.

In addition to the main event, Citizens Bank Park hosted an alumni game featuring former stars of the Flyers and Rangers, including Flyer greats Bernie Parent, Dave Schultz, Eric Lindros and John LeClair. The Adirondack Phantoms also beat the Hershey Bears 4-3 as part of Classic festivities.

Loving \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef01539037fcc3970b-200wi\" husband of 51 years to Kathleen \”Kass\” (nee McGovern). Loving father of Thomas F. Reed, Jr. (Antoinette), Kathy Friedrich (Edward), Karen Jackson (Ray) and Brian Reed (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Melissa, Amanda, Raymond, Eddie, Sean, Steven, Briana, Cassie, Matt and Luke. Dear brother of Catherine Guinan, Dorothy Schone and Charles Reed.

 

Thomas earned the status of Master Fabric Craftsman while being the owner and operator of Dockside Canvas. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and was a proud member of the Notre Dame Club of South Jersey. GO IRISH!! Tom graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School, Class of 1959. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef0162fc54df88970d-320wi\"Gloucester City.
