Obituary: Dale S. Weitzel Sr., of Woodbury, age 50

 

On January 7, 2012. Age 50. Of Woodbury. Loving husband of 12 years to Bette Ann (nee Barr). Loving father of Danielle, Dale Jr., Sherrilynn, Carl and Brandon and step-father of Steven and Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly and Samantha. Predeceased by his parents, George G. Weitzel, Jr. and Elaine (nee Jefferis) and his sister Bonnie. Also survived by his 7 loving brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

 

Dale proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Brooklawn American Legion Post #72. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral Service and Military Honors will begin at 8 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Dale S. Weitzel, Sr. Memorial Fund: P.O. Cherry Hill Fire Dept.: McGeady, Haldemann and Houck Take Oath of Office

On Wednesday evening, January 4, 2012 the Cherry Hill Fire Department held the promotional ceremony for Battalion Chief Timothy\"\" McGeady, Battalion Chief Montrell Haldemann and Captain Jason Houck.

 In attendance were family and friends of all three, along with fellow firefighters and fire officers of the Cherry Hill Fire Department.

The evening began with some opening remarks, Chief Robert Giorgio welcomed the family and friends who were in attendance that evening. Chief Giorgio then spoke on the process these men have worked through to achieve this opportunity and what lies ahead for the newly promoted Battalion Chiefs and Captain.
